burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Hello guys, a little off topic, so I have mlb.tv premium as i switched over from cable tv for this year... now ive read confusing reviews whether I'd be able to watch the wildcard game Live or not... I took a day off from work so i really dont want to miss it. I am from toronto btw LOL i also called MLB.tv customer service and some stupid lady had no idea how to answer my question looking forward to a clearer answer Worst case if it doesn't work you could always go to a Bar or a friend's house.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Wow so I read through Orioles hangout prediction thread. Everyone but one person predicted the Orioles to win The sentiment is quite opposite here

I'm pretty sure you'll get whatever they are offering, even if you live in Canada. They call it a companion product. It's not the full video broadcast feed. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/subscriptions/index.jsp?product=PostseasonTV If you have trouble with it you can always find a stream of the game here: https://www.reddit.com/r/mlbstreams

I panicked last year (my first year with MLB.TV) because when I tried to load the first playoff game it said it wasn't available to me. However, when I selected the International Feed option, no problems.

Everyone but one person predicted the Orioles to win The sentiment is quite opposite here Vegas has us a pretty steady favorite. If they all truly believe that with such consensus they should be betting the hell out of the game.

Games like this dont come around very often...

glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Tiebreaker, in other words exactly the same situation as now. The 2nd wild card actually ended up being irrelevant this year. That's why I can live with the result tonight regardless of what happens. If the Jays won 92 games and the O's won 86, then I'd be pretty pissed if the Jays lost. At least in this case the 2nd WC was irrelevant since we would have seen a tie breaker anyway.

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 We aren't fav by much Orioles are a 5/4 underdog we are a 20/29 fav Surprisingly Mets are even money at home vs Giants
cowtown Verified Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 After lurking here since the beginning of this board being established, my first post to a GDT was this past Saturday (we all know how that game turned out), so I thought I would do my bit and post to my second GDT to help bring home a win! Go Jays!

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Does he have a lot of opinions? That's the worst for me. Not merely being chatty, not merely being ignorant about the game but the mix of chatty, ignorant AND opinionated. All of that KK....I'm dreading it. Worse, he tries to make bad sarcastic jokes about the plays with little knowledge.
BigBulgeBlueBird Verified Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Just win. I've got faith in the boys tonight. These guys are hungry for another, and potentially last crack at a WS together with this team. I have a feeling they will step up and get it done.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 PECOTA pegs the Blue Jays as 67 percent favorites. http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=30502
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 i really hope i can watch the game tonight... im really nervous Like Chris said, last year I just clicked the International feed button that popped up and I got the full feed.

This is awful. Someone needs to make amnesty international aware of this. Thankfully anyone who knows me are aware to clear the area when I'm watching my teams in the playoffs, not that I've had much experience with it, but it didn't take them long to catch on.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 I'm so excited but so nervous. I just hope Stroman goes in with the mindset to empty the tank. Don't pitch to contact. He's naturally going to get his groundballs if he's on tonight. I'm tired of the 2 strike hits. They have killed him this year. If we move on he's likely in the bullpen for the ALDS as it will be Estrada, Happ, and Sanchez as our starters in the ALDS.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Still can't believe Gibby went with Stroman with those numbers vs Baltimore this year, if this back fires and Stroman gives up 4 runs in 3 or 4 innings he can kiss his job goodbye real quick as a manager.

CBlake Verified Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Love the fact the dome will be open tonight, first time in SkyDome history for a post game season game.

It appears that it was a collaborative franchise decision. FO and the analytics department were also involved.
SweetSmellingChacin Verified Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 It's still kind of nuts that a 162 game season comes down to 1 random game. Hoepfully we random the s*** out of the Os tonight.
GoJays1562 Verified Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 So who decided to finally open the dome? We could have used that last year.
baubau Verified Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 I am nervous, but f*** it, Lets go Jays!
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 They're equally bad. At least people still (irrationally) fear Bautista's arm
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 So who decided to finally open the dome? We could have used that last year. It was too cold last year, the roof can open and close in +15 degrees Celsius weather, so if the temperature drops as the game goes on below that they run the risk of the dome being stuck open until the end of days.
