FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 (edited) For the Blue Jays Marcus Stroman, RHP Stroman once again will be the Blue Jays’ No. 1 option this postseason, though it will be a tough challenge. He is 1-2 with a 7.04 ERA in four starts against the Orioles this season. Batting Order (best guess) Carrera Donaldson Encarnacion Bautista Martin Tulowitzki Saunders Pillar Travis For the Orioles Chris Tillman, RHP The O’s tabbed Tillman to start the AL Wild Card Game after a strong bounceback season. He is 1-0 with a 3.63 ERA in four starts against Toronto this year. Edited October 4, 2016 by FrozenRopes
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 We'll need the offense to strike early, and let's hope Stroman has his strikeout stuff/intent tonight, because he hasn't been that guy at all vs the Orioles this season and the results have been underwhelming. This guy is very welcome, especially if he's on like in Cleveland or Houston.
Drumcliff Verified Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 12 wins required, not 13. Division series are best of 5.
ChrisS Verified Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Just switch Travis with Zeke and I know it won't happen but Tulo should be above Martin

HealthDream007 Verified Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 This game is really a coin flip. I'd give a slight edge to the Jays but that's about it. I would say good luck too but of course I don't mean that nor does anybody usually mean that other than to be polite. But I will say this: here's to an exciting game hopefully! ... Oh yeah, and screw the Red Sox!
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 I might puke. I always feel nervous for the wildcard teams and their fans every year, and now it's us.
ILikeSoccerandBaseball09 Verified Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 f*** i'm already nervous. Hate wildcard games, lets hope we pull off the win!

glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 If the Jays are down late against that pen, game over. They need to strike early.

Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 I'm so damn nervous, yet so excited as well
baconpancakes Verified Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 ugh. with lirano looking like the better option, i sure hope gib knows whats best. I like stroman, just HATE him in important games. If he wants to be in the ALE he needs to learn to bring that A game, and this year his A game has been a C+ at best...
Yorkshire Blue Jay Verified Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Actually, I think he is better when the game and stage is bigger. He didn't let us down in the playoffs and he pitched tremendously the other saturday in the massive game against the Yankees. He didn't pitch too badly in his last start against Baltimore, that loss was solely down to our hitters' approach, which was just awful. I would have preferred the better matchup of Liriano against the O's but would have taken Stroman over Liriano for any other matchup!
baconpancakes Verified Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Sto better have a 2 inch leash. I would love to see the one-two punch of grill and suna step back up. They were on such a roll for a while there. We gonna need em tonight if we get anywhere close to Brit.

Bi just don't want to see a tie game after 5.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 I'm extremely nervous. I feel like it's better for me to take a sleeping pill and then check the scores early tomorrow.
intrigid Verified Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 We're tired of exciting games, time for the Jays to have a blowout win. Good luck, or whatever. No kidding. I'm really in the mood for a Jays laugher. I just don't know how I could cope with anything else.

Mac Outlaw Verified Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 It's all on the f***ing table today. Blowout win, blowout loss, close win, close loss, who the hell knows. Toss a coin, that's it.
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Stroman against the O's makes me nervous. However, the bigger the game the better he performs, and at very least we know he's not going to let the pressure get to him. He'll be on a short leash with Liriano waiting in the wings. Just win baby
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Stroman against the O's makes me nervous. However, the bigger the game the better he performs, I wonder where this came from Because just looking at the Post Season last year, he had his ass handed to him by the Rangers and the Royals.

He actually pitched lights out in game 2. Decent in game 5 after the 3rd inning. And in game 3 against the Royals was given a big lead, and he didn't allow it to slip away.
