Osuna hasn't gotten much work lately, so I really don't have a big problem with this. He was already warm. It would be a lot different if he was overworked.

 

Plus that was a nice dam quick outing for him. No worry here.

Bautista looked half decent in the OF tonight. Just put Donaldson at DH and Barney at 3B for as long as it takes Donaldson's hip to heal.

 

Not really he looked pretty bad on at least 3 plays. Optimistic about his bat now though.

Is Dickey starting today or is that incorrect? And if he's still starting, why?

 

I think the main reason is because they are pushing Sanchez back to the 21st since his blister problems occured. It's really a disaster in itself, another 9 days rest for Sanchez between starts and now Dickey goes after not pitching since the Yankees series. Just a big ol' pile of f***ery happening.

If he can give us a 'quality start' I'd be good with it. If we can't score 4 off Weaver we probably deserve to lose.

Possible this will be the second or third last Dickey start for the Blue Jays, depending on how the standings shift in the next couple of weeks.

 

2016 might be the last we ever see of Dickey, Thole and Colabello, which would be fantastic. Smoak, Navarro, Goins, and Carrera left to purge!
