Whenever people go to California they always go to SF or LA, SF is amazing but LA is so s*****, enjoy driving 50 minutes to Santa Monica for a taco shop then another 45 minutes to West Hollywood for a smoothie shop? Welcome to LA. SD has a much smaller population, less traffic, better beaches and you can go to Tijuana for a sloppy night too!

It kind of has two cities, if you like clubs and more of a downtown go to the Gaslamp District, if you like a chill vibe with surfing and oceanfront bars go to Pacific Beach.
