Meh.

 

5th among AL pitchers in WAR, arguably our best starter along with Estrada who also got the nod. He's deserving of this spot.

Oh i agree. I'd just rather him have the time off. I know one inning or whatever is pretty meaningless. Still though.

Throwing an inning (if he does) will just keep him within his normal routine regardless.

 

Congrats to Aaron, nice accomplishment.

Very cool deserved to be apart of the orginal named team. Kimbrel is the player I would have took off so this works out perfectly.

Not keeping track, but is Quintana on the team? If not, he should have had priority over Sanchez. But again, other than the Jays players, I have no clue what the team looks like.

Hes not. Ned Yost put his foot in his mouth. He said Sanchez was on his short list of four pitchers before he named Kluber. If he passed on him twice Gibbons would have blown up his phone.

Baseball is such an awesome game when you consider this team is completely NOT what anyone expected in regards to the on paper statistics that everyone relies on.

 

We have two all-star starting pitchers - and a third, HAPP, who should probably also be on the team and should be next in line as a replacement. No one would have thought we'd have two all-stars and a third who is pitching like an all-star and none of those three are Marcus Stroman!

 

We had a pen that projected to hold its own near the top of the league and has not been good (although much better lately).

 

And an offense that stunk for the first 60 odd games when it should be top 2 in baseball.

 

And who saw Saunders hitting? The board members in a panic over minor league walk totals for Sanchez. So much for the projection of the advanced statistics for minor league numbers.
