Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 That's probably like Pompey and Tellez. I really don't see this FO making a move like that. Pompey is worthless IMO
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Pompey is worthless IMO He has reached non-prospect status for me despite his age. Always injured, weak head, hasn't shown any progress. Scrub
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 We couldn't acquire anythjng we don't have the prospects Just move on
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Huh the kids been rushed, he is only what 23 years old? Where are the rest of our kids his age playing ? If Raji can figure it out so can he, plus where was Batz and EE playing at 23 years of age! Good Grief, he already as more upside then Goins who is on this team How exactly was he rushed? He's been in the minors since 2010. Despite having decent raw power, absolutely none has shown up in game, with an atrocious .060 ISO against AAA pitching. He's a 4th OF and pinch runner, that's his ceiling at this point.

He doesn't have to hit for power lol 2. He still will become an everyday OF for us, most likely next season. Kid can hit and has speed. If he could focus a lot better he would be a better MLB player than Pillar.
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Vogelbach, probably. That's actually a bit interesting, but we probably don't match up well. He'll probably be moved for an elite reliever or something.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 1. He doesn't have to hit for power lol He doesn't have to hit 20 HR with a .200 ISO, but yes, he does have to hit for some power. You can't have a slap-hitting OF with a sub.-700 OPS playing every day in a corner spot, that doesn't cut it.
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I didn't realize how bad Alford has been this year. No power and a 34% K-rate at 22 in A-ball. That's really, really gross.

L54 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Someone get their doc to write Pompey an adderall prescription so that we can have another 4 WAR outfielder plz.
King Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I didn't realize how bad Alford has been this year. No power and a 34% K-rate at 22 in A-ball. That's really, really gross. He had a knee injury that would have required surgery, but he decided to play through it. Then he was in a collision in the outfield in June that injured his neck and gave him a concussion. And he's played through it all essentially. He's not healthy.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Josh Edgin would be a nice pen arm target. The Mets pen is full, and he's controllable for a few years. He'd also give us another lefty.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Bolster the pen somehow, maybe grab a starter and hope everybody stays healthy. There isn't much to trade from to reinforce the team.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Anyone in the Twins bullpen Brad Hand Josh Edgin would be a nice pen arm target. The Mets pen is full, and he's controllable for a few years. He'd also give us another lefty. Josh Edgin and Trevor May, both would likely be cheap.

polar bear Verified Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I'd trade Bautista straight up for Archer.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I'd trade Bautista straight up for Archer. Bautista and the Rays both say no, so no.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Last year we got a 2 WAR position player for nothing as well as an effective reliever, also for nothing. I'd like to see similar deals this year. No need to break the prospect bank.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 The Braves seem to put great value on pitching. I wonder if something around Sanchez and Freeman is workable. Thats obviously not going to happen during the season.
banned Verified Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Bullpen is all we really need, although another Left Handed bat would be nice.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I'd trade Bautista straight up for Archer. Bold.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I'd trade Bautista straight up for Archer. Rays have no use for a rental bat this year (Of course I would do it if you could in theory) And you were probably kidding anyway
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Conveniently we don't need much With Bautista and Tulo back the lineup and bench are good One more solid BP arm might be all I'd target Mostly we just need to keep fingers crossed that the starters stay healthy and that Tulo and Martin keep hitting.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 So does Carerra stay in RF and Bautista DH when he comes back? Carerra has been a better hitter than Smoak this year..
TRM Verified Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Pompey is worthless IMO He is dating someone from my high school who is certainly not worthless. She's not your type though, I reckon.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 So does Carerra stay in RF and Bautista DH when he comes back? Carerra has been a better hitter than Smoak this year.. He should. Smoak's defense hasn't even been as good this year as it usually is, and Edwin's been better than usual in his small sample there.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 He is dating someone from my high school who is certainly not worthless. She's not your type though, I reckon. Nice hustle, girl. If he can scratch out a journeyman career, there's decent money to squeeze out of him. Tell her to poke a hole in the condom.
