They stubbornly don't change their game plans.

Difference is their hitters are aggressive so anything in the zone they are going after while our hitters look for walks and miss meatballs

Maybe Stroman will snap his knee fielding a ground ball again and he'll revert back to his swing and miss stuff.

I know...terrible thing for me to say. But I'm incredibly frustrated

It happens. Stroman just laying an egg

It's going to keep happening if he shies away from challenging hitters.

Tampa having trouble scoring runs until they come to our stupid pitching philosophy. You'd think that pitching to a team that hacks like crazy, you'd pitch with swing and miss stuff

Wait til the 10 win Twins go off on us and take 3 of 4.

f*** off.

6 hits and no K's through 2.

Stro's approach has limitations that really keep him from being 1/2 a lot of people think he can be.

Someone needs to sit his ass down and tell him to stop pitching to contact and nibbling the corners. He's not Greg Maddux and doesn't have the control to do it effectively. In fact, his BB/9 have actually increased when pitching to contact.

He's working the corners and pitching to contact. He's pitching with the exact same philosophy that he did in April and he's getting burned for it.

He needs to stop nibbling.

You make it sound like if he was throwing 4 seamers this wouldn't happen lol. He just doesn't have command tonight as you could tell his breaking ball is either hung up or bounced. He's still a young pitcher and it happens.

He's just always around the zone with his 2 seamer. ALWAYS

The hitters can just wait on it and put it in play, often hard enough to get through the infield. Even with 2 strikes he's doing it. It's infuriating.

This isn't a philosophy thing, Stroman just doesn't have command tonight.

Well then he shouldn't be trying to nibble when he doesn't have his best command.

Something tells me he's too egotistical to change it either without someone actually saying something.

Yup and with mostly everything down....they just look there....all the time. Eventually they get to him. Tonight it was early.

Wait until he does this against Mike Trout.

If he's throwing 4SM and working the entire strike-zone, this probably isn't happening.
