Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 You know the Rays won't retain him when he's a free agent... Future Jay!!! Still has three years left on his deal, but the Rays have enjoyed the three cheap seasons and now his salary starts to escalate. I wouldn't be surprised if they shop him around.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Orioles on the verge of their 3rd playoff appearance in five years with Duquette and Buck despite never looking justified of it from a talent standpoint. I might have to just start accepting that they are a well run team, as much as it pains me.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 I've concluded that while wearing a jersey with your own name on it is cringe worthy - there are indeed larger douche bags attending Jays games.....the corporate guys who show up in full suits in the middle of the 4th inning. You my friends are the worst. Bring a change of clothes and change before you come you f***ing f***s.

Their rotation features plugs like Gallardo, Jimenez, and Miley. Their success doesn't really make sense, but they've been good for 4 years now and I think you have to acknowledge that Buck Showalter does a fantastic job managing the team, and Dan Duquette does good work by the only evaluation criteria that actually matter, even if we don't really understand how/why it's effective.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Zaun tries his hand at sabermetrics Gregg Zaun just reached Mike Rizzo levels of idiocy.

Governator Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Zaun tries his hand at sabermetrics haha I'm really hoping that's an ancient old graphic when Zaun first started with them. That's a much thinner, younger looking Zaun and the Blue Jays Central logo seems different - could be wrong?

Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 lol... WTF? Is this real? reminds me of Cito Gastons "bases clogged" forula walks+singles+doubles-triples-stolen bases Grissom 1991: 34+121+21-9-75= 81 bases clogged Olerud 1993: 114+120+54-2-0 = 278 based clogged Lower is better anything under 100 is OK. Olerud clogged an exception number of bases in 1993... Marquis Grissom was pretty good, rarely clogging.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 lol... WTF? Is this real? Joe Carter (1997) 102+76-22=156/155 = 1 or so Barry Bonds (2003) 111+90-45=155/130 = 1.15 or so Bonds still wins... actually dissapointed, I was hoping it would show Carter being better.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 I guess in 1993 Carter might of been better than a couple of Bonds MVP Seasons 121+93-33 or something like that = 180/162

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Apparently Estrada has been pitching with a Herniated Disk.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Marco Estrada's pitching with a herniated disk ... why is he pitching with a herniated disk? I know Dickey's bad but not throw-Estrada-on-the-mound-with-a-herniated-disk bad

BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 I thought I remembered someone saying Estrada had a herniated disc when his back flared up in July or whenever that was. I don't think this is new information.

I just saw it on twitter this morning and it was too good not to post.

His struggles have nothing to do with a herniated disk.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2016 Author Posted September 15, 2016 Might as well ride it out at this point Surgery in the off season
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 No it's from the other night on the broadcast. Used it to show Bautista is still elite It's Sunday, do you taste the Kool-Aid?
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Brownie was joking Let's not forget he was missing his butt buddy Navarro guys. Martin's elite framing and solid defense was really throwing Estrada off. He focusses better while throwing to one of the worst catchers in baseball. #blair&barkerlogic.
venema20 Verified Member Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 It's Sunday, do you taste the Kool-Aid? It's hard to keep track anymore. It's all just one big blur of crap right now with the Jays. How Zaun still has a job is beyond me. But then again Sportsnet has no clue what it's doing with their on air personalities across the board
