vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 I think there's a promotion where you can buy the bobbleheads at Pizza Nova this year. Might want to look into that. Unfortunately it says it's presented by Rogers, so I don't know if that will happen with this one.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 When is MLB going to announce the suspensions for last night's game? I'm curious about this as well.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Greg Zaun is an idiot. Lost whatever respect I had for the guy. What idiotic comments from him have you noticed that for a Rogers employee and media personality, you never see him do interviews or communicate with players? I doubt anyone on the club or even front office respects his opinions.

I literally turn off the TV after the last pitch of the game and don't turn it on until the next game starts.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Stroman has racked up 1.1 fWAR so far this season, good for 21st in the league. We're happy about this right? Especially considering it looks like over the last 3 games hes been striking out at a good clip rather than pitching to contact.

Still no evidence of this. Fist never closed. All he was ready for was the usual collar grab/bro hug that brawls usually consist of.

I'm sure many of us were worried about his pitch to contact BS at the beginning of the season, but the strikeouts have come and he looks like the pitcher we all expected him to be. I'm very happy if this trend continues, as I know many others will be too.

All he was ready for was the usual collar grab/bro hug that brawls usually consist of. he was looking for the Don Cherry "why I oughta." Kind of stupid not to at least be on the defensive once Odur had given him the two handed shove. I still think Jose was asking Beltre not to let him go. lol

Yorkshire Blue Jay Verified Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 I had long since stopped watching Blue Jays Central due to the dinosaur Zaun. The sooner the Don Cherry wannabe is removed from our screens the better. Hell I've even take 'Big and Strong' Tabby in there over Zaun, and try to get Shulman with Buck for more games.

If Bautista was gearing up to throw a punch, you'd have to reasonably think he might have at least been expecting one in return which he patently never did!
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 I'm tired of this leadoff platoon. at least they are letting Barney play and not running Goins out against lefties.

A few more cutters up and in to Lefties but he still doesn't throw his 4 seam. His breaking ball looks much better though both in movement and command.

His breaking ball looks much better though both in movement and command. There's a happy medium that he'll find eventually. His mix of 4 seam/2 seam isn't anywhere near as important to him as it would be to Sanchez. Stroman has a 4 offspeed pitches as well as the 4 seam he can use as alternatives to the 2 seam, Sanchez has 1 offspeed pitch, maybe 2 of you count his bad changeup.

Yeah I think later in the game he can go to the 4 seam a little more to give the batter a different look. Both Sanchez's off speed pitches have positive pitch scores above 3 by pitch/FX this year so I wouldn't call his changeup bad. I will say his changeup doesn't need to be a great pitch individually since all it has to do is play off his plus fastball.

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Dickey is pitching well. I wonder if we can get a real prospect for him come trade deadline
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 I'm getting close to the point where I feel this team is better off folding at the deadline. They do not look like a World Series contender with this bullpen, and our post 2016 outlook is pretty terrible. We need to restock the farm and shed salary
