I will say thank you again for those who took the time to vote. I have distanced myself from the subject and have moved on. "Having said that, what is disheartening is getting a call or a text from family or friends about an ill informed player making an asinine statement. The latest coming from a former Blue Jays pitcher. Just to enlighten him, he was accused of using amphetamines by the 'strength coach.' You should be very careful when putting tweets out while not having your facts on the matter at hand." http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/baseball-hall-off-fame-roger-clemens-roy-halladay-steroids-ped-allegations-010716 I like how Halladay doesn't give a s*** and speaks his mind. Didn't he call our ARod last year on twitter? Funny guy.
Laika Community Moderator Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Halladay is the best. Clemens essentially makes something up, for all intensive porpoises, in order to hit back. Doc is squeaky clean and everyone knows it. Guy is a frigging Mormon. dum dum dum dum dum
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 It's weird to see Roy Halladay use so many exclamation points after never raising his voice in a 15 year career.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 So much time on his hands since he retired lol. Maybe Clemens was an ass when Roy got the september call up

That's the funny thing, as a player he barely said anything. Now that he's out of the game the guy just says what ever he wants.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Halladay and Clemens are basically the same person.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Am I the only one who thinks Doc's comment was petty? If I was in Clemens shoes' I'd tell him to f*** off too.

My only problem is that there was no concrete proof that he had taken steroids, so it's unfair to for him to identify Bonds and Clemens in that tweet. And now that Clemens accused Halladay of cheating, it's pretty much the same thing as, say, Jamie Moyer coming out and saying that cheaters like Halladay don't deserve to be in the HOF.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I'm not a Clemens fan but I don't blame him for responding like that.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Am I the only one who thinks Doc's comment was petty? If I was in Clemens shoes' I'd tell him to f*** off too. Agreed. He opened his mouth and started this. Did he really think there wouldn't be a response?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I was kind of mad when I searched Doc on twitter and saw him using a Phillies photo. Blood boiled a little bit.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Clemens >>> Doc I wonder what Roy Halladay would have done on steroids.
taximan89 Verified Member Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I wish I never found out about Halladay's twitter. In my mind, he used to conjure up the image of a greater than human force that was to be admired and revered. Now that I read his tweets and see he is on the threshold of being illiterate, it has knocked down his image a few pegs. He really is just a guy who threw a baseball really really well and not much else...
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I wonder what Roy Halladay would have done on steroids. He'd have smaller testicles, for one.

Spoke very eloquently and politely. Kind of like Greg Maddux. His tweets and his constant misuse of your make me think that he has the intellect of Jose Canseco.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I don't think famous people should be attacking/calling out other famous people on social media, but what do I know? Religion, politics and personal issues with others should not be posted on twitter/Facebook. These guys should be smarter about this s***.
taximan89 Verified Member Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Halladay's not as righteous as he appears at first sight. I remember during the Burnett days watching a game where they panned to the dugout and Halladay was accepting a huge wad of chewing tobacco from Burnett. Not that it's illegal or anything, but it was surprising to see. For some reason I thought he would be above that, lol.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Halladay also defended Utley's slide while calling the bat flip "over the top" within a week of each other. Not a big fan of social media Roy.
admin Site Manager Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Halladay is kinda dorky. Like most people on the internet, willing to say more when they aren't face to face with someone.

Really, who gives a FAWK??? He is right, these guys cheated the game. Nothing worse than guys that tarnish the game and when they are done their career they want to be acknowledged. We all know that Bonds and Clemons would have made the Hall without, but they took the risk and got caught so f***em.
