GoJays Verified Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Yeah. The team doesn't even have 5 relievers better than replacement, and he's almost a 3-win player according to RA-9 WAR, which would understate his actual value. He is a huge upgrade in the pen and the Jays need that but can they afford it. That would only leave 12.5 mil to spend unless they DFA Revere which I'm now thinking they just may have to.
Cyborg Verified Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 O'Day is like a 3-4 win upgrade for 7-8M per year. Want. Let's not get carried away here.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Will O'Day and Bautista get along tho

Cyborg Verified Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Ok, you're going on ignore. Why because he correctly identified Revere is a non tender candidate?
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Why because he correctly identified Revere is a non tender candidate? I would understand this if trades were illegal and Toronto's decision was to keep 2 and cut 1 of Revere, Pompey, Saunders. But how can he possibly be a non-tender candidate? Some team out there would want him, even if it's just for a PTBNL.

His market was tiny at the deadline.

BlueBirdBro Verified Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Oops, lol Sorry for the scare. Yes, weeks.

Yeah but that's a pretty specific time from which to judge his value. You've only got so many contending teams looking to add a non-impact OF. His offseason market should be much bigger
glory Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Why because he correctly identified Revere is a non tender candidate? He's been a 2 win player in three of the last four seasons. I wouldn't mind if he was traded, but no way he should be non-tendered. Saunders' knee is shot and Pompey is a question mark.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 So, at the earliest, he could begin baseball activities in March. That's not ideal, but hopefully he'll be back and fully healthy by mid-season and he can put this injury behind him for good.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Hopefully this gets rid of the Lets trade Tulo for pitching! folks.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Revere for Tomlin Tomlin averages 88 MPH. I know velo isn't the end all, but give me McAllister instead please.

Morosi said its talks of an OF for a SP. Unless you are considering moving him back to the rotation, in which case it would be like adding another Liam Hendriks.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Tomlin's HR rate going to RC would be absolutely obscene. Woof.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Yep. Bautista for Bauer They're not going to do that... Much more like Pompey for Bauer.
