Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 .... and Adam Jones Actually Adam Jones is a pretty good defensive CF, and I'm not just basing it off of gold gloves.

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 So stupid to make a decision on Toronto or Buffalo for Pompey based on how he does in spring training
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 So stupid to make a decision on Toronto or Buffalo for Pompey based on how he does in spring training Hey, it worked with Thames/Snider right??? And Castro
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 So stupid to make a decision on Toronto or Buffalo for Pompey based on how he does in spring training He's not a 19 year old Castro or Osuna. His performance this spring could play a large role in where he starts the season.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 I think Fields could sneak up and grab that 4th OF spot out of spring, apparently he's a pretty studly defender, good base stealer, really perfect for this team.

Not a chance! s***** minor league numbers, basically no AAA experience, not even on the 40 man roster.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Best sports app Agreed app is fantastic.

I thinks Saunders' performance is what's important. If he looks healthy, he gives you the option of holding back Pompey as a plan B in AAA until the inevitable callup.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 So stupid to make a decision on Toronto or Buffalo for Pompey based on how he does in spring training I think the FO wants Pompey to start in AAA (evidenced by tendering Saunders and almost trading for Bruce). It's just that Saunders is such a health risk that Pompey might have to start in LF out of necessity. Claiming how he plays in spring training will determine his fate is just window dressing.
CHRIS Verified Member Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Hey, it worked with Thames/Snider right??? And Castro Pompey and Castro aren't really similar situations. Pompey is a guy who has shown success at various levels, has been with this team through the playoffs, and there's a semi-legitimate hole for him to fill by making the roster. The Castro situation was just...well, I don't really know what the Castro situation was all about.

A young dominican who throw fastballs in the mid 90s, but lack of experience to be in a contender team as a high laverage situation RP

glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 The Castro situation was just...well, I don't really know what the Castro situation was all about. It was a GM on the last year of his contract who just didn't give a f*** anymore. More or less.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 I think the Blue Jays will want to see how Pompey is defensively in LF before giving him serious playing time. While he's a great athlete his reads have been below average.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Hate this board You just have s*** fashion sense. For example, Kanye West's clothing line is absolute trash and you are a fool if you wear any of that crap. But that's just my opinion. Fashion is subjective. Wear what you like
