EMK19 Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 lol Volquez just said Collabello was his Daddy. At least he is in a good mood. Pedro Volquez. Too bad our crowd won't have the chance to bring back that chant to life again in this series, lol.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Price looks scared he likes tired of answering the same dumb questions.... lol
nextyear Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Price looks scared He did look tense, but maybe he is just anxious to get down there and start pitching game 6.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 So the ump apologized to Perez for not giving Volquez the call on the Bautista at bat? Like that would've happened if the roles were reversed. If you listened to the mic'd umpires over the past few broadcasts, they talk to Perez sweeter than to their own wives. It's kind of awkward.
Floortom Verified Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 So the ump apologized to Perez for not giving Volquez the call on the Bautista at bat Apologized for what? Not calling a strike or not going to 1st for the check swing?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Apologized for what? Not calling a strike or not going to 1st for the check swing? I'd assume the check swing, he didn't hear Yost asking for the check. By then, it was too late.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Hahaha...so Volquez is full of s***.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 I'd assume the check swing, he didn't hear Yost asking for the check. By then, it was too late. That check swing was super close too. One of the most borderline ones you'll see. I'm surprised Perez didn't motion down to the 1B ump right away.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 We have our two best starters going back to back and our offense looks primed to bust out. We've got a chance.
metafour Verified Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Gibby looked so confused when he was asked who his game 6 starter is lol He was confused because he literally said that Price was starting game 6 like a minute before that question. Then the idiot reporter asks him who's starting game 6 LOL.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 We have our two best starters going back to back and our offense looks primed to bust out. We've got a chance. Have to break through early in Kauffman. Show that ballpark what we're made of.
EMK19 Verified Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Tulo was real immense today. That first line drive could have easily been a hit too. Definitely back into the groove now. Shall we bring him back up to the 5th spot now? (or even lead off, although that's probably unlikely)
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 We have our two best starters going back to back and our offense looks primed to bust out. We've got a chance. Estrada is pitching again?

I'd say keep it the way it is, but then again I'd really like someone other than Revere in that leadoff spot. He has been ice cold.
King Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Still won't forgive him for that Donaldson debacle back in August, but overall he seems like a decent dude. He seems like a douche
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 He seems like a douche He can't be more of one than Ventura.
King Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 He can't be more of one than Ventura. I didn't say that
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 These last few games Tulo has looked arguably better than he has at any point as a Jay. It's so nice to see Troy Tulof***ingwitzki looking like himself for once.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 We have our two best starters going back to back and our offense looks primed to bust out. We've got a chance. Ok, but you realize they have their 2 best pitchers going too, right?
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Estrada is pitching again? Yeah, Price in the playoffs (FIP be damned) isn't something I'd be super confident about. Estrada and Stroman are definitely the two top guys for the team this post season.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Ok, but you realize they have their 2 best pitchers going too, right? Ventura and Cueto are less formidable. That said, KC has the homefield and only needs to win one game. Going to be tough to come back on them.
EMK19 Verified Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Tulo is now the RBI leader for this postseason with 11, one ahead of Morales and Hosmer. Pretty amazing considering how downright bad he had looked at the plate early on and still with only .225 average. But all his RBI's have been so clutch.
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Estrada is going to throw an 8 inning gem, it's all good. I got to start calling these things more often. I seem to be pretty damn good at it.

Basically all of Tulo's XBH have come in massive situations with the bases full. He's on fire now. Something has clicked. It's not like he was having bad at bats earlier... He was still seeing a lot of pitches. He's just connecting now.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 I didn't say that Hey at least he seems to take things in stride rather than Cueto's cheating accusations or w/e nonsense.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Ventura and Cueto are less formidable. That said, KC has the homefield and only needs to win one game. Going to be tough to come back on them. Just need to win friday, not worry about saturday

Going to be tough to come back on them. Yeah of course. Gotta like their chances on Friday, if they can get through that then game 7 is probably a toss up (betting odds, I would anticipate the Jays to be slight slight favourites).
