CBlake Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Hi being new to the board and with the Jays about to kickoff the ALCS tonight agianst the Royals, I thought I would ask how many alltime Blue Jays playoff games each of us here have attended? I have been to 13 in total including two this year, Games 1 and 5 of the ALDS. Wednesday was the greatest craziest Blue Jays experiences I have ever had in person. I also had the unfortunate experience of seeing both the A's and Twins clinch their ALCS titles here in Toronto. After 22 years this is simply amazing.

That must have been a great time with them coming away with the two victories and booking a ticket home for game 5.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 I've attended 4, 2 in 1992, 2 in 1993.

I've only attended 1, missed out on Wednesday and will be there Tuesday.

I actually have a real ticket from game 1 of the ALDS as I had a table in sightlines and they gave us each one when we walked in. Very happy to have it.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 I've attended 4, 2 in 1992, 2 in 1993. Were you there in our 1977 debut too?

CBlake Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Author Posted October 16, 2015 wtf how much for them seats? It was $150 that included an absolutlely amazing all you can eat buffett. Spent about another $70 on beer, tax and tip. After 22 years really enjoyed doing it in style. It went up to $225 for ALCS and believe its $375 for the World Series.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Totally forgot about sightlines. World Series seating will be on sale shortly - October 23 http://www.rogerscentre.com/inaround/rest_lounges_sitelines.jsp
Bojangles Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Was born in '91, but have been to 3. Game 1 and games 3 and 4 in Texas. Twas awesome and like the other poster mentioned, the Rangers' fans were all very nice. Actually got razzed more at the Pats Vs. Cowboys game.
Auldphartt Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Just 5 games for me - the Devon White triple play game against the Braves in 1992, the Joe Carter touch-em-all game against the Phillies, and the 3 games so far this year. Between Jose's HR off Dyson on Wednesday and Carter's shot off Mitch Williams in 1993, I've eye-witnessed 2 of the 3 greatest home runs in the Jays' franchise history. I only missed the greatest HR of all, Robbie Alomar's blast off of Dennis Eckersley in the 1992 ALCS. Still, 2 out of 3 aint bad.
Mozzer Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 (edited) 2 and counting -including that unforgettable game 5. At least one more next round depending if I use all my tix - would be good to know the dam game times for Tuesday/Wednesday tho... Edited October 16, 2015 by Mozzer

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Game 1 & 2 this year. Yup, I have great luck.
CBlake Verified Member Posted October 16, 2015 Author Posted October 16, 2015 Just got sorted out for Monday, looking forward to it. Will be my 14th alltime Blue Jays playoff game !!
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Game 1 & 2 this year. Yup, I have great luck. I think you need to stay away from the Dome for the rest of this year. Just hand your tickets to me so you're not tempted. That's what I'm willing to do for us. I'm a team player that way.
crederer Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I believe I went to one in 93. A game where roberto alomar stole home plate for the win and the crowd went nuts. I was like 3 years old and I don't know for certain if it was a playoff or a game near the end of the season but I remember the fans being so crazy that it scared my young self.
blurnandez Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 2 Jays postseason games (ALDS Games 1 and 5), and 2 non-Jays postseason games. All were pretty amazing experiences.
nextyear Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 None (only regular season games). Am I the only one who prefers to watch on TV in the comfort of my home?
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I'm going to my first one this Monday with Poppa Bear. Pretty pumped. Decent seats too!
Professional Hitter Verified Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Only 1 for me. Game 5 of the ALDS this year. Incredible experience.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Only 1 for me. Game 5 of the ALDS this year. Incredible experience. Same. Highly unlikely that anything will ever top that
