TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Lol at some people here thinking Pompey's slide at home was dirty or illegal. Unreal.. illegal to the wording of the rule "initiating contact". Dirty not at all.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 What a game, unreal. I had zero confidence in them winning this game by the way things were going. Since that ball four called strike on Tulo, I thought we were screwed. Jose is such a beast, that bat flip was amazing. If he wasn't on our team we would be livid, but being on the Jays it's probably the best thing in the world. and the board didn't suffer a meltdown while the game definitely did. lol it was amazing!!!!
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Was Sam Dyson throwing two temper tantrums and causing two bench clearing incidents respecting the game?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Go Royals! You want the royals?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I was there. That was the greatest experience of my entire life.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Go Royals! GO ASTROS! want a home game friday.
Art Vandelay Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 According to Wilner, Dioner was on the field smoking a cigar, and wearing a cop's hat. There's gotta be a photo of this.

admin Site Manager Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Also props to Dickey, he seems to be loving every min of it. Was worried he was going to be crying about how much he's pitching, but he seems to just be loving it. Think he was the first one to go around the crowd and high five everyone. What a feeling it must be for guys like him, Buehrle, etc.

I caught that in the background of one of the interviews, couldn't see who it was, just saw soemone and a cop hat on, thought it was strange.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Someone should tell hockey players that they're disrespecting the game when they score and celebrate. But in baseball you aren't disrespecting the game...you are disrespecting the Racist Ty Cobb, you are disrespecting the drinking, womanizing Babe Ruth, you are disrespecting the takes money but doesn't throw the game Shoeless Joe Jackson, you are disrespecting the criminal politician (and also racist) Cap Anson, and most importantly you are disrespecting America
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Not for me, it was the Carter home run, watching it live. But this game was great. As someone who has watched every pitch live in both the 92 and 93 World Series, i have to say that the Bautista HR today was a bit more intense. Bautista's HR today rivals the Alomar HR off Eckersley in the 92' ALCS.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 That was the most intense, dramatic Jays game i have ever witnessed, and that's going back a long ways. the 16-15 game in the rain against PHIL was crazy too...
WTFBuck Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 apparently the MLB is auctioning of Jose's Game 5 jersey, bid is at $2000.
Dr Negative Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Drama means $$$, Bautista is just doing his part to grow the game.
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 lolol Wow, schwarber went really large

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 the 16-15 game in the rain against PHIL was crazy too... Yes, but it was on the road. Not quite the same.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I don't know, Carter hit a pretty timely one too that one time. The fact that it was a walk off to win the World Series sugar coated it, otherwise it's not even close to the Bautista HR today.
Cookie Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I had to pause the game in the 4th to go do parental things. I spent 3 hours ignoring all social media. My phone and FB were blowing up. I am just so damn happy. I haven't read this whole thread yet but that hit will be one of the moments that define Jose's career. Amazing. Now lets hope the Astros and KC beat each other up all night long!

Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I'm done being Debbie Downer. This team has made it past the 1st round. Plain good. #IBelieve
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 What a ride this season has been. Enjoying every single moment of this. This team is outstanding.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I think a recording of today's Jays in 30 has got to be locked away in the PVR vault.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 100% Same here, bud. Yeah we wouldn't have HFA but it would be like Ali vs Frazier in baseball lol. Go Royals (for now)!
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I was there. That was the greatest experience of my entire life. I wasn't there but I had a f***ing ticket to be there. I will have to remember that my entire god damn life.
