SexyNewForum Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Not sure if posted somewhere already, but clearly this little guy won it for us!! http://m.mlb.com/video/v523089383/minibautista-watches-his-counterparts-homer/?game_pk=446255 Awesome to see him and his family there for the playoffs. Cute family and some dedicated fans. I sat beside them earlier in the year front row down 3rd base and got on TV when they zoomed in. God this is the best day of my life. Can't sleep for s***. If you're planning on calling tech support tomorrow you may not get the best service if you get me on the line.
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 That would have killed baseball in Canada entirely. I would boycott the MLB if they did that. forfeiting a playoff series clinching game would be about the most Toronto thing ever.
Pinkfloid Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Just...wow. Had tickets for the the three ALDS home games and was hoping so hard for a game 5, especially after the torture that was game 2. Nothing beats sitting beside your father, taking in the most epic game you could ever ask for and seeing a series-clinching win. The emotional ups and downs, the craziest single inning either of us had ever witnessed and the absolute joy from Edwin's blast, Bautista's clutch shot and Osuna slamming the door. To top it all off with the players celebrating with the fans afterwards was such a powerful and emotional sight. Such a magical evening; makes me happy that my father and I can still share in our passion for the game. Go Jays Go!

CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 How satisfying is it to watch Hamels sit in that dugout, shell-shocked? You can eat s***, you NTC Toronto hating motherf***er. Man, that was priceless. I enjoyed it very, very much. Haha

art_vandelay275 Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Holy f***.. you're the 45th idiot posting about the fans ... what do hockey players do ?? they throw stuff on the ice ..we're canadians.. not americans who sit and behave as if they've got a stick up their collective asses. Jays just won an unbelievable game and all you the other idiots can do it criticize the fans ... really? . Kindly piss off. Being a father myself, you never want to see any babies or anyone else get hurt. This is the one of the greatest moment in the history of the team, city and country. The last thing we want is to have some tragedy to bring a dark cloud over all of this. Having said that, I am surprised that parents let their young children/babies sit through the whole game without any sound protection. I can't imagine what the db level is for the 3 hours plus. This arguably is just as harmful
vilifyingforce Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 That baby was actually my brother's girlfriend's (Stacey) Aunt's Daughter's baby. Wow that was a mouthful lol. The blond lady there is Stacey's Aunt Sheila who works for the Jays PR and gets us tickets frequently behind home plate. The jackass hit her granddaughter in the head with a beer can and then someone else doused her in beer on top of it. I'm glad everyone is ok, but, can ou ask your brothers girlfriends aunts daughter (that really is a mouthful and makes me want to watch Spaceballs again) just what the f*** she was thinking bringing a baby to the game?
art_vandelay275 Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Just read some stuff Dyson said about JB and Tulo - What a pompous self-righteous turd. You gave up the winning HR so keep your mouth shut
Rusty_Savage Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Seriously who brings a baby to a playoff game? Even a regular season game? Get a babysitter you cheap f***s Stacy's aunt's mothers granddaughter. That's who
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 RA said that Osuna is kind of like his daughter? uh.... explain please? Dickey doesn't have a son only daughters. I think he's just trying to say he feels like Osuna's dad.

Johnbert Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Hi guys, i'm new to this board, so hello everybody To be honestly, i didn't watch baseball until 4 weeks ago. So you may wonder what's the reason i'm watching baseball now and becoming a Blue Jays fan Actually it's pretty simple. I did a language trip to Toronto from the 12th September until the 10th October. My homestay host was a Blue Jays fan and we watched a game against the Yankees live at tv. I didn't understand how the game works, the rules, not even the basics. So she explained it to me and I suddenly realized that baseball is quiet easy to understand once you know at least the basics. I started to follow the matches of the Blue Jays and begun to like this sport. Because I still suffer from the jetlag (i'm from Germany and the time difference is +6h) i couldn't sleep and so I decided to watch the match until the end (2am CET). It was so intense and fascinating, and when Bautista hit that 3-run homer I was full of joy , especially after that curious point which gave the Rangers the 3-2 lead. I'm still a novice so I don't understand a lot of all those statistics, tactics, rules etc., but I'm going to make progress in the future Toronto is such a amazing city and I'm so sad that I've only been there for 1 month. I met so many nice people from all over the world, I will never forget this experience and hope that I will come back soon Now I'm looking forward for the series against KC. Let's Go Blue Jays!

ALL IN THIS TOGETHER so stoked we get a minimum of 4! more games! I was not ready for baseball to end yesterday. Pretty awesome seeing the reyes cheers on twitter. Guy has a heart of gold. I knew I didn't mess up buying his jersey. Was cheering for those guys as my NL team when they had their first run in New York. Guy has a love for the game and it shows. Go Mets out of the NL and GO JAYS FOR IT ALL!

Molitor Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 (edited) Oh yaaaa, big win boys, that was intense. Bautista's home run was my favourite sports moment in well over a decade. Goins sucked at the plate over the series but wow, his D came through large last night. Nice work by Stroman. And now obligatory FU's: Great big FU to the Texas Rangers and especially these stupid-face players, just because they have such stupid faces: -Cole Hamels -Delino Deshields -Rugned Odor -Jeff Banister Especially Banister, God what a smug ******* he is. Just look at him. I think I spent 40 minutes over the course of the series watching him argue with umpires. Great big FU to Dyson and Kela for being such poor sports 'cuz they got rocked. The Jays will beat you, don't pick fights. You'll have an opportunity to throw at them next year, and I'm sure you will because you'll still be butthurt I'm guessing. Great big FU to major league baseball. Failing to overturn that call at 2nd base in game 2 has turned your replay system into a kangaroo court. You're allowed to piece together what happened based on multiple replay angles you know. There was clearly a good 3-4 inches between his foot and the base when you consider the motion of his whole leg. You went full-retard last night with the Choo/Martin incident. The spirit of the rule is not intended to cover a batter putting their bat right in the catcher's throwing path. MLB rules weren't intended odd Asian rituals at the plate. Seriously, who holds their bat like that? When there's no rule for something, you use common sense. Bring on the Royals. So many stupid-face players on that team too... oh Gosh I won't be able to keep track. Edited October 15, 2015 by Molitor
IBTrini Verified Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Wow, that was the most fulfilling sporting experience ever for me. I thought it was a great game even before that debacle happened with Choo and Martin and words can't describe how crazy the Bautista homerun was. It was awesome just watching the game and let the experience take you in without analyzing it too much, like i didn't even get angry to Gibbons for letting Sanchez face 4 lefties Defense played a huge role as well in the final outcome. Pillar's "Swoop and scoop" and Goins plays went a long way in keeping momentum on the Jays side while the Texas defense made them crash. Encarnacion's HR was really a statement shot - don't play with the birds. Bautista's HR on the other hand was just plain ole apocalyptic in nature for Texas. Bautista, the fire-breathing monster, released all of his inner turmoil on that little ball. There was a lot of controversy up to that point which created a bone of contention however the monster made a happy meal of it in the end. That moment can only, in it truest sense, be described as bitter-sweet - Bitter for Texas and oh so sweet for BlueJays. Those are just some of the contributors since Osuna and the others all played their parts admirably. It was a special day in Jaysland - from ceremonial pitch to the final out. Also, love how they came out to celebrate with the fans - what a fitting end to a highly charged game.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 BTW I'm not sure if they mentioned or showed it on the broadcast, but when the debris started raining on the field Bautista was absolutely livid. He went over to CF and angrily gestured to a fan next to the Budweiser sign on the 200 level. And then it started to rain again later in the inning and he threw his cap down in frustration.
