Who's the best prospect in baseball right now? Is it Corbin Carroll? Dude's numbers are outrageous.

It might be.... but if we are counting guys in the MLB right now then hard to let someone leapfrog Witt and J-Rod based on just MiLB numbers

They graduated. I’m assuming he means current prospects

Possibly, but I would have Adley ahead of him for now.

Another perfect inning for Adrian Hernandez (no hits, no walks, 2K). Totals in AAA: 9IP, 1H, 0ER, 3BB, 15K.

Also didn’t realize he’s only 22? Damn.

Needed to slip that in before my Walker for Grayson offer. Think it’s pretty straight. Pitcher obviously more risk…

Ugh. Of course that’s the guy that has Ramirez at 3b

I think it's just a matter of time before we see the front office give him a shot against MLB hitters. Who are other relievers who have below average velocity and utilize primarily changeups. Trevor Richards is one example that comes to mind, but he's largely getting torched this season so hopefully that's not a sign of things to come for Hernandez.

Zulueta made his high A debut tonight.

5 IP

3 hits

0 earned runs

1 walk

8 K's

I think Tiedemann goes for Van tomorrow

Yes, he does.

Sounds like this is going to be a tough debut to follow.

Hernandez is supposed to have a better change up so hopefully that means his fb doesn't get lit up as much since guys are gonna be guessing/sitting soft stuff, especially since he doesn't use it as much as Richards does.

I’m not sure how to embed tweets but,

He’s a prospects live guy said Zueleta was 97-100 with the fastball and had a filthy slider.

Im back in BC next week, I’m going to have to figure out a way to see this whole Vancouver rotation because they all look like real prospects.

Zulu was working at the same velo with a good slider, a curve and a change in Dunedin aswell. I don't think he's gonna be challenged at all until he gets to the big leagues. I mean how many minor league batters can hit that type of velo while also having to respect 2 breaking balls and a change up. Would not be surprised at all to see him in a relief role in Toronto by August in an effort to limit his ip. AA by late June, and then to AAA bullpen for 4 or 5 outings and then closing games out in Toronto come September lol!

Godamn that's some nasty stuff from Zulu.

Some of these guys look like they could be lights out in an MLB bullpen right now.

Frasso, Zulu, Tiedemann, Hernandez...

Hopefully the 1st remain as SPs though. They could arrive to push the envelope just as Ryu and Kikuchi come off the books.

I like Pearson better for the BP since he can't stay healthy and can't control all his pitches.

Since Zulu and Frasso had basically 0 ip last year I doubt they stay as sp all year in an effort to limit their innings. So if they decide to shift then to the BP in say August I say send em to AAA for a couple weeks to see if they adjust nicely and then call em up. God knows we need the velo and swing and miss with the big team pen right now.

The Dodgers, Rays, Yanks etc, do it all the time.

This could work, provided the 40 man considerations can be overcome. Meaning, if you think Zulu and Teid etc. are going to contribute in the not-too-distant future, go ahead and add 'em, but if you think it's going to be another few years before they're ready to be starters in the MLB, that might give one pause to bring them up this early and get their clocks started.

Hopefully Merryweather is figuring out how to miss bats again down in AAA

So far so good in just 3.1 innings down there. 5 K's, 0 runs, 0.6 WHIP

Between him, Pearson, Hernandez and possibly later on guys like Tiedemann/Frasso/Zulueta/Juenger the Jays might have a deeper pen that can miss bats.

Just a few more Hernandez gems in Buffalo and a few more Romano literal s*** storms and my prediction of him getting 5 saves for the Jays this year becomes closer and closer to maybe being realistic.

I would hold off on rushing Tied since he shouldnt have any sever ip limit like Zulu and Frasso. Keep Tied stretched out and bring him along slowly and then let him go full Shane Mclanahan on the league in 2024. With the other two since they are already 23 and 24 yo if you develop them slowly and go level by level you run the risk of them being 25, 26, or even 27yo when they crack the big leagues and already getting into the decline phase of their careers.
