Just so we're all aware, do not make a bet with L54, he'll never have any intention of paying.

 

He owed money for a bet for several months, couldn't afford to pay up. Was pitied and offered the chance to pay in installments but still never forked over a cent. Months later, he got banned for a few days for making a disrespect comment to another poster regarding that person's struggles with their health. The next time he's asked about the bet, now says he's not going to pay because he was banned and has no respect for the forum.

Yet he continues to not only post here but try to pass himself as some sort of alpha, when in reality he's a pathetic excuse for a man who couldn't scrape together a few hundred bucks over the course of several months.

He was awful here. Carried a "get off my lawn" type of attitude that made him anything but a locker room benefit. And then yeah he got MeToo'd recently which hopefully keeps him out of the Hall.

We have an official bet thread, right? Maybe just update the first post with a list of welchers along with the dollar amount.

Do you really think we should call up a 25 year old with strikeout problems to try and shore up third base?

 

Franco K'd 11% of the time in AAA and now is striking out nearly 25% of the time. That's why its relevant how these super prospects are transitioning to the MLB.

 

He's not a guy you bank on to shore up 3B but he is the type of guy that's good to have in the system to provide depth. He could suck sure, or he could turn into an MLB starter. He'll probably end up somewhere in between. Seems like every other week the Dodgers call up some fringe big league 25 year old like Smith who then goes on to contribute in part time roles for the team. We need to strive to have that kind of organizational depth and guys like Smith is how you get there.

Agreed, I'm still holding out hope for Warmoth, he's finally showing some life and playing CF too.

Why not? You never know when s*** clicks with these kids. That high BABIP is driven by his high BA still good numbers, although, he likely suxxxxx :P
