Brandon Barriera is back on the 7-day IL. Undisclosed reason.

I'm really curious to see what shape he reports to camp next year.

lol so much for Barrierra being possibly a better version of Tiedemann.

$3.5 million in the bank can really suck the motivation out of a guy I guess.

He could still be better, he's still a kid.

If he doesn't then someone needs to be fired in the front office.

It's negligence to be giving free reign of responsibility to prospects and top players in the organization to get fat and out of shape/stay fat and out of shape.

Every single fatty on the major or minor roster has underperformed in some way this season, many in performance, some with health, some with both.

Bonilla finished 4 for 7 with 2 K's.

OF David Guzman (2nd highest bonus last year) was 4 for 5 with a 2B and 2 BB. He's hitting better than Bonilla so far.

SS/2B Aneudi Garcia (18 years old) was 2 for 4 with a 3B and 2 BB. He's having a big season repeating the DSL.

Club has no control over what a player eats, or their workout regimen. Player eats a big chocolate bar, a bag of chips, and drinks 6 beers every night, what can the team do?

I mean, they can punish players. Pretty simple: you show up horribly out of shape, you're playing complex ball until you drop 'x' amount of weight. Manoah/Kirk show up to spring training like a blimp? They start the season in AAA.

You have to send some sort of message at some point of what you tolerate.

It isn't negligence on the part of the Org, obviously they get off field goals and regimens to working out and eating proper, but when they clearly dismiss there work, they need to punish them as Metafour just suggested. I know the Jays weren't happy about Barreira's weight and rightfully so.

Yes they do. Players are employees not contractors.

But, don't they have "contracts" (contractors)? There is an end date to their employment with said organization... At which point a new contract can be negotiated.

No. 1 prospect Ricky Tiedemann dominated in his rehab outing tonight with High-A Dunedin:

3 IP • 0 ER, 1 H, 0 BB, 9 K

His fastball averaged 96.4 mph and touched 98.

He's incredible. That's just a special line.

Beautiful swing. Absolute tank. Barger wants that call soon as well.

Sure but my comment was in response to you saying someone in the front office needs to be fired.

So what, that doesn't mean they have any control over what a player puts in their mouth, as I said.

You don’t think they can control rehab or s&c in the offseason?

Holy s***. Legit chance to make the big league roster next year?
