You want Varsho starting 30% of the time next season??? lulz

Hate to say it but.. Actually I'd give him a bit more rope to start the season (6-8 weeks). Still need to sign a bat for left field.

So the Jays are unhappy with Barriera’s weight, but aren’t they giving him exactly what they want him to do in the offseason? If so it’s their responsibility to keep tabs on him during the offseason. If not it’s their fault he’s fat.

I mean he’s their first round pick ffs he’s not an 18th rounder that showed up fat

So who plays CF next year? Glad Ross' running the squad and not the likes of coach.

Spencer Horwitz is on a tear in AAA as he has hit 5 home runs in his last 6 games.

Just in time for the trade deadline

It's not the Jays fault a player shows up fat. Individuals are responsible for their physical conditioning. You can lead a fatty to salad but you can't make him eat it

Lol.. You're probably a Trudeau boot licker also. You're part of the problem having faith in a f***ing turd like Atkins. The Leafs got rid of their disaster nerd GM and already the team looks so much better with the recent additions. Ross is no different, but your lack of general awareness is not suprising.

Horowitz has the offensive skill set that this org seems to like nowadays (low K’s, high contact). Normally I’d agree that he’s trade bait, and maybe he is, but it also wouldn’t shock me if they view him as a platoon DH next season.

As bad as the season started for the farm system, they have 4 players who could conceivably contribute to the 2024 team (Orelvis, Barger, Horowitz, Schneider). My guess is Schneider is probably traded in the next 10 days, but curious to see how open the team is to playing prospects next season.

Wow impressive use of Trudeau and sweatpant references. Your online insult game is as weak as your poorly thought out baseball opinions.

The entire board is wrong on what exactly? Wtf are you even talking about? I make a simple suggestion that management needs to be prepared next season if Varsho remains a turd. Why do you feel that you need to attack me on that?

Lol.. We got some real good ones on this board.

I think very open, especially in LF/RF/3B/2B

Barger and Horwitz getting a lot of reps in the OF

Attack you, you "attacked me"? lol... you suggested using Varsho 30% of the time, are you alright or what? He loses all his value, meat. Entire board is referencing basically 90% of your opine, hence village idiot. I SAID GOOD DAY!

Varsho should be a part time player. He can’t hit. We have all accepted this and moved on. It’s about finding ways to get better now. Don’t have time for princess to figure it out.

Next season, Jonn? He plays CF, fulltime.

A) I wouldn’t recommend athletes living on salad

B) the professional baseball organization should be sophisticated enough to send him home with step by step instructions for the offseason and check in bi weekly to ensure adherence. It’s really not that difficult

lol Not easily doable unfortunately, the way he formats it makes it a pain in the ass to just copy and paste the list. Here's the top 10 in order:

Jackson Holliday, SS, Baltimore Orioles

Jackson Chourio of mil

Marcelo Mayer, SS, Boston Red Sox

Ethan Salas, C, San Diego Padres

Junior Caminero 3b/ss rays

Dylan Crews, OF, Washington Nationals

Jordan Lawlar, SS, Arizona Diamondbacks

Brayan Rocchio, SS, Cleveland Guardians

Jackson Merrill, SS, San Diego Padres

Evan Carter, OF, Texas Rangers

The Jays 100% have a responsibility and in fact have all the resources to help - the player has to be on board though obviously

Varsho is having a bad season. In his other 1.5 seasons or so he was approximately league average offensively. It would be monumentally stupid for the organization to assume that Varsho can't hit for the entirety of his remaining control without at least letting him fail first.

How in the world is Varsho a "princess"? The dude is one of the hardest working players on the field of play I think I've watched in recent memory.

He should be increasing his protein intake and eating whole foods. The assumption that salad is good for you has to stop. The common America salad is full of bad fats and bad carbs mostly because of the highly processed cheese and dressing they use.

He’s a professional athlete that should be both weight training and performing in game. So he needs a source of lean protein and healthy carbs and fat.

His issue is probably strictly portion sizes and snacking. Cuts that out the weight will fall off and he won’t have to restrict his diet that much. You can eat plenty of good tasty foods while maintaining a calorie deficit. I don’t think he should be in a deficit during the season but he should learn his maintenance calories. He’s so overweight he would probably lose a lot of weight regardless.

Would prefer they retain Kiermaier and upgrade LF.

Varsho has done literally nothing to warrant playing everyday moving forward. He’s at best a platoon player moving forward. Look at his career OPS and wrc against Lefties. And tell me again why he should be playing against them. I’ll wait.

Fair enough. I think that father time is going to eventually catch up to Kiermaier as he seems to have a bit of a chronic back issue that knocks him out of commission from time to time. If Varsho can regain his stroke at the plate he offers more overall upside than Kiermaier, but that's obviously far from a given.
