Has anyone here been to a Vancouver Canadians game? Any recommendations on where to sit or anything like that? Planning to go to a game while there at the end of this month.

Yep. Buy tickets ASAP because games sell out. I’d recommend somewhere behind homeplate since you get covered by the overhang. I sat near the 3B side in the bleachers and it was f***ing boiling that day, ended up leaving by the 7th inning because it was so hot.

The game I saw there I was down the 1b side in the bleachers, great seats but yeah, cooked all game long.

I went in August. I guess April probably wouldn’t be too bad but if I ever went again I’d definitely try getting seats underneath the overhang behind homeplate just in case. I don’t like sitting in the sun all game, pasty white skin doesn’t handle it well haha

Zulueta's first start this season: 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K, 46 pit

Wonderful! Hopefully he'll have a few more and it can coincide with Berrios' "phantom" DL stint.

I hear ya, mine was July and I’m so white I’m practically clear.

Pearson with a clean 1.1 IP with 3 K's

Wonderful! A few more of those and less 3 BB/3 H outings, and he'll be good to call up.

Slider was a very good pitch for him today. Probably his best pitch. Fastball was good as well. Sharper break and more control of the slider than last season. Changeup had a few good ones in good locations too

Thomas Hatch has moved to the pen, so I imagine he's the next DFA when we need a 40 man spot. Sounds like he's losing value.

Hopefully he becomes one of those starters that becomes a reliever and excels. Our next Romano!

Romano has a 99 MPH fastball. Hatch does not. I just figure on the 40 man roster, he's #40. Not including the guys that can go onto the 60 day IL.

Romano didn't have a 99 MPH fastball as a starter sir.

True, but he's older, has only one option left and there's a lot of relievers above him on the list. I'm just trying to figure out the 40 and the callup list. We're tight on catchers and may need a 40 man spot for a backup, Lopez seems to be the middle-infielder if a part time role and Barger if more is available, for the outfield probably Barger if we needed a a starter and Lukes for the bench.

Oh ya - that's fine. I'm fairly sure Hatch is the 40th man on roster right now. But there's no harm in Deadpool hoping for some type of starter to reliver magic.

I get that and totally agree. I think that the way the bullpen is being used right now, we're going to have to call on some replacements soon.

Hatch has always been one of those bubble guys, shows a lot of promise, but doesn't quite get there as a starter.

That often does result in a reliever who ends up being pretty good. Not always, but often enough that there's some hope there...

Hatch was moved to an RP late last season, numbers seem okay but he doesn't have much value if at all.

That's why I figure he's 4th-5th on the depth chart for a reliever. I think our bullpen has adequate AAA depth but the depth at catcher would require a 40 man roster spot. The rotation is a bit tight, nobody that I would say "Yeah, we need to bring that guy up." So I figure Thornton and Hatch are the 39-40 men on the roster.

17.2 IP, 10 H, 6 ER, 3 HR, 6 BB, 2 HBP, 19 K

26.4% K%, 18.1% K-BB%, .156 AVG, .167 BABIP, 72.5% LOB

3.06 ERA, 4.88 FIP

FIP is horrendous because he keeps giving up bombs. K/BB is decent, would be nice to know what the stuff is looking like.

For sure, but they don't have to worry about those spots for sometime. We have all backup options for the first half likely covered.

Yeah, I searched for a write up, nothing I could find(wish there were). They won't DFA any of these guys soon, lots of depth with options.

I'm a little concerned about Berrios and Kikuchi and always ready for Jansen to break down. Other than that, I'm pretty happy. If Belt goes down (almost wish he would admit it) there's tons of replacements.

Barriera had a shoulder issue in the spring and is being held back in extended spring training. Will be limited when he gets into official games

5Toolphenom would just have him rub some dirt on it and run him out there.
