His SLG is 363. His stole bases for this year is 5, someone with all of

his speed should have 3 times that amount. And his OPS is 635. He should Not even be in the top 30 any more.

It's because he only pitched 22 innings in 2018, including the Arizona Fall League. They need to build up his inning count organically, so this alternating low-pitch/higher-pitch start approach is how the Jays have chosen to do that.

Kiley McDaniel and Eric Longenhagen just dropped their second of 25 mock drafts. They had us picking a pitcher, which is wrong but it's ok because mock drafts are really useful and enlightening and stuff.

I'm no expert by any means but to me that appears to be a fairly low effort, non violent delivery. The scouting reports and injury history say otherwise I guess.

His arm seems late and his tempo is a bit inconsistent. I really don't like his chi very much either.

I’m not sure Sean Reid-Foley has an above average breaking ball or off-speed pitch. When his FB isn’t clicking he doesn’t have much going for him, not to mention his command has been inconsistent throughout the minors.

 

Murphy has more velocity (95-98, top 100 vs 93-95) and a wicked slurvey curveball to boot.

If they both end up in the bullpen, I’d still have Murphy over SRF for high leverage.

Now you guys can all call me a moron (like last year for SRF for pointing out his flaws) for pointing out some NP flaws.

 

Only saw his second inning last night, but NP still looks pretty meh from what I see, no clue how his stats are so godly this year. But not as nearly as bad as SRF did last year this time/ST when you guys were all giving me crap.

 

He misses high wayyyyyyyyyyy too often with his fastball. (not intentionally)

 

 

Oopsies changeup bad spot, but crappy minor league hitters can't hit it.

But I think at this point it is safe to say NP > BB, when pre-season it was NP < BB.
