The league is trying to attract fans. That means they need home runs and offence, especially as teams get smarter about shifts/positioning.

I say go back to juiced players. Screw it. Sosa and McGwire saved the game in the late 90's. Let the players look like Popeye and hit well into their 40's.

Hit into your 40s and live to your 60s...just say no to drugs man.

Pardinho drops from 78 to 96 on BA Top 100

ETA: 2022

Fastball: 55 | Curveball: 60 | Slider: 60 | Changeup: 50 | Control: 60

Pardinho skipped two levels in his pro debut last year but still baffled hitters thanks to his advanced combination of bat-missing stuff and pitchability beyond his years.

Groshans moves up from 83 to 65

ETA: 2022

Hit: 60 | Power: 60 | Speed: 50 | Defense: 50 | Arm: 55

The No. 12 overall pick in the 2018 draft earned rave reviews in his pro debut for his combination of hitting ability and power.

Nate Pearson moves up from 63 to 48

ETA: 2020

Fastball: 70 | Slider: 55 | Changeup: 50 | Control: 45

Pearson threw just 1.2 innings in the regular season, but his 104 mph fastball in the Arizona Fall League showed his stuff is still electric.

Bo Bichette stays at 7

ETA: 2019

Hit: 70: | Power: 55 | Speed: 50 | Defense: 50 | Arm: 55

One of the top hitters in the minors, Bichette's defensive improvements make him Toronto's shortstop of the future

Vlad still #1

ETA: 2019 (But not Opening Day)

Hit: 80: | Power: 70 | Speed: 40 | Defense: 40 | Arm: 60

You were expecting someone else? Guerrero Jr. is a potential superstar and a hitter with the upside to win a batting title or lead the league in home runs.

The last few pages on this thread.

Twitter, Rogers/Sportsnet propoganda articles, etc

You personally have yo-yo'ed in the last year between he is good and bad... But you will never admit to that lol, will prob just ban me or delete my posts, being honest isn't a trait that you have.

Why wont juiced respond to my pms? In the past he usually would.

Why do you say dumb s*** all the time?

What's the point of proclaiming that everyone says he's good again on BJMB and when asked who is saying that linking to dummies on reddit? You do realize that's pretty dumb right?

I notice Groshans isn't playing either doubleheader game today. Anyone know what's up? Chavez Young hasn't played in a few either.

So I guess it is load management for Nate Pearson. Every other start seems to be 2 IP.

Today:

2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 5 K, 1 BB, 39 pitches

It's going to be Kawhi Pearson all season since he's on an innings restriction. But damn his domination of hitters is tantalizing.

Load management for Jays fans as well

Cavan Biggio just hit another dinger. Now has a .495 OBP through 24 games.

It would be nice to get a high OBP guy like him on a team with the 5th worst OBP in the majors.

Yeah, after the draft.

I also think they'll want to excite the fans for the Canada Day weekend, but won't want to expose him to it in his first game. A few games prior to that would make sense. It also gives him 3 months in the minors, which assuming he's still playing well would be at least somewhat reasonable.

I believe Super 2 is 83 days from the end of the season, it could come after that as well. What's a couple more weeks if they wait that long, right?

Biggio goes to a 3-2 count. Fouls off 4 straight pitches to finally work a walk

Take the Vladdy Jr. hype, multiply it by around 0 and that's the hype the Biggio call up will get from the casuals.

Plenty of time for them to hype him up over the next 2 months.

They've been hyping Vladdy for over a year as "the best prospect in baseball, plus he was born in Canada, and his dad played in Canada". 2 months of "this kid is having a good season, plus his dad was good, but you've never heard of him" won't have near the same effect.

Agreed, my casual friends have no clue who he is, if they don't call him up anytime soon, might as well wait till mid-July when he passes the Super 2 window. Bichette will be the 3rd week of April next year.

Jays need to solely focus on players who had dad's in the big leagues. They made a huge mistake letting DSJ go for the name alone.

Why does kacey clemens suck?

They were talking about biggio on mlb radio. Bowden said there’s no reason for him not to be up. He also said shatkins doesn’t seem to rate him near as highly as Bowden does. I hope shatkins don’t end up trading biggio.

The casuals the casuals the casuals. That’s all I hear on here. The average fan might not be into hard core baseball analytics but they aren’t dense

Right now, a lot of them are excited about Ben Revere
