Laika Community Moderator Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 That 2016 top 10 is pretty depressing. Great then Ouch Ouch Sucks Sucks Sucks Sucks Sucks? Ouch Decent! Kind of sucks?
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 somebody has an aggregate top prospect list compiled on a Google Sheet somewhere don't they? Does anyone have the link handy? I suggest starring it so it'll appear and be easily found in your Google Drive in the future.

P2F Old-Timey Member Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 I'm not including that abortion with the aggregate rankings.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 I think we should! It's paid content and it's only 1 out of 6 rankings, it won't affect it THAT much. We should add Sickels stuff too when he comes out with his. Up to you guys though.
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 It's no worse than some of the other lists, honestly.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 I'm not including that abortion with the aggregate rankings. Keith Law is like that guy who picked Ohtani over Trout in a hypothetical fantasy draft while Ohtani was still in Japan. He's basically just an attention whoring troll who tries too hard.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Kyler Murray is going to the NFL combine on Feb. 26th. It appears he is almost surely choosing football over baseball at this point.
King Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Fangraphs Blue Jays list is dropping tommorrow, I think.

Rusty_Savage Verified Member Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Kyler Murray is going to the NFL combine on Feb. 26th. It appears he is almost surely choosing football over baseball at this point. It will probably depend where he's picked. I read an article the other day that said he's pretty much a lock to not go in the top 20. There has to be a point be slips to where baseball is the better financial decision for him

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Kinda hope he gets shafted on both sides. I don't like wishy washy f***ers. It's not possible... he has that money signed, in the MLB.
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 McLogenhagen confused Waguespack with Winckowski "Winckowski was added to the 40-man this offseason and we may see him in a relief role next year. He sits 90-94 and has an above-average slider." The list is a bit different. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/top-34-prospects-toronto-blue-jays/
glory Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Kinda hope he gets shafted on both sides. I don't like wishy washy f***ers. I hope he picks baseball. Even if he ends up being a bust, MLB benefits from having the best athletes choose them over the NFL. If Murray chooses baseball and ends up being good, then even better for the league.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Regarding the lack of discussion on the FanGraphs Blue Jays top prospects list, is it correct to assume that it's a bad list and that they should probably feel bad too?
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 They are as down on Warmoth as we were!
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 The Alejandro Kirk writeup is the best.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 They are as down on Warmoth as we were! I feel like they forgot the following guys exist: David Paulino (or has he exhausted rookie eligibility?), Josh Winckowski, Santiago Espinal, Andrew Sopko, Brock Lundquist, and Cullen Large. All are worth mentioning.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Todd was ahead of the curve on Alford. This totally vindicates him. Todd is like a more autistic/smarter Tercet.

There's no point in reading others now.

They ranked him 4th (same as us), put an 8 on his fastball, and said that he's probably a right-handed Aroldis Chapman but could be a frontline starter. Our 50th percentile outcome was basically "closer or something like Brandon Morrow". I'm not really sure why you are such a loser but it's entertaining so please continue to suck.

That pretty much nails it. Tercet sounds real outgoing, goes to games, from what I hear he chats with the players parents, finds out inside info, see's things as they happen, Todd on the other hand is pure numbers, no emotion. Just raw numbers from a couple of hundred prospects and pairs it down to a top 100. I wonder if they will ever team up and write a column together, they could compliment each other nicely.
