Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 (edited) Here's your GDT, boners! Today, the Orioles will graciously concede the AL East pennant to the Blue Jays by gifting us a round of BP against Miguel Gonzalez and his hilariously bad 5.04 FIP, who will return from the DL (shoulder inflammation) just in time to face the best team in baseball. To make matters worse for the hapless, shitbird OriLOLes, the Stroshow is taking his act to Bawlmore, whereupon our diminiuative pseudo-ace will baffle the O's AAA lineup with a bevy of darting wiffleballs. Here's what the lineups are probably going to be, not what we give ANY sort of s***: Jays Paul Revere Your 2015 AL MVP Your 2015 AL OF Silver Slugger Your 2015 AL DH Silver Slugger Probably Smoakie, maybe Tulo! RUSSELL, RUSSELL, RUSSELL! Goins/Pillar/2B Garbage Shitbirds Hilariously Orioles-style trade deadline non-acquisition Machado Chris Davis AAA nobody Useless jackass Dogshit Refuse Coffee grounds Puke on the sidewalk Edited September 29, 2015 by Dr. Dinger
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 LET'S GO BLUE JAYS CLINCH! CLINCH! CLINCH-CLINCH-CLINCH! cf
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Thinking of doing a Jays/Red Sox parlay tonight! Why the f*** not!?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Thinking of doing a Jays/Red Sox parlay tonight! Why the f*** not!? Yes So much satisfaction if they both win
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Clinch so we can give some guys a few days off
baubau Verified Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I say there is at least 1 pitch thrown to Baubau today. Calling Gonzalez doing it in the 3rd. Why the 3rd? That is when the Jays will rock him out of the game! AWE YA

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 OP just made me laugh out loud at work. I'm going to miss at least two-thirds of the game tonight, though. Hopefully I'll be back for the last couple of innings.
Governator Community Moderator Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 EE is a whopping 3 for 25 against Gonzalez. Good news is all 3 were home runs.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 Doesn't matter at all, Gonzalez is homer-prone garbage, and he's not even healthy.
pickoff22 Verified Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 There's a good chance we dont even get this game in sadly. I want to party!
ColdPint Verified Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 90% chance of rain at Camden tonight. If so it'll have to be a double header tomorrow.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I just hope we clinch on the field, right in front of Showalter. Hopefully, the Yankees game ends first with them losing, although Yankees/Red Sox games are notoriously long. If Red Sox win, we'll need a rain delay, or to really beat the hell out of the O's with long top innings. I prefer the latter option.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 90% chance of rain at Camden tonight. If so it'll have to be a double header tomorrow. It will still be Clinch Day if the Stankees lose.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Roof should be mandatory.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I don't recognize some of those names in the Orioles lineup. Are they September callups from their stellar prospect pool?
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 JD, please part the skies temporarily to allow this onslaught and rout of the hapless O's to take place. Nice GDT. Just the right amount of humility balance was struck.
ColdPint Verified Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Forecast is calling for nothing but rain the next two days. Hopefully we get tonight in and clinch so we can get the regulars off the field in potentially bad conditions. Can't risk injury at this point.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I'm so excited hard on all day
Masterbather Verified Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 What would happen if we leave Baltimore with a game or two unplayed at this point? I assume nothing if they won't matter in the standings, but with KC, they might. Would they make us play on the tie-breaking day? That would suck massively.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Sucks it has to happen in a shithole like Baltimore

MLB will do everything to get the games in, especially with so much on the line. If it were Philly/Atlanta, they wouldn't even bother.
ColdPint Verified Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 MLB will do everything to get the games in, especially with so much on the line. If it were Philly/Atlanta, they wouldn't even bother. If the chances of getting both of these games in is looking dire then MLB is probably looking into plans on a neutral site to hold them. Plans may already be in place in fact.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Wish we could just play the last three games against BAL in Toronto... Screw this double header business. I don't want any injuries.

I don't want any injuries. While it would be awesome, it's HIGHLY doubtful as it would result in a competitive imbalance. It'll be a neutral site.
