Wouldn't be a new season without someone complaining about the turf. My monies on Girardi complaining about the turf around the edge of the new infield. Looks nice though. Just need grass now. When are the University of Guelph studies concluding? (They may have already).

Probably never, we don't seem to care enough about it.

They should take out the CF 100 Level seats and make the West Jet/Windows space dual level overlooking the bullpens. Or even make split-level bullpens there, and have the West Jet/Windows space overlooking them. Theres actually a lot that can be done with the configuration, even with the permanent seating in place.

I'm probably in the minority, but I wouldnt mind green seats either and some shrubs or some sort of plants or something

I was on the "keep the blue seats" team until you showed that comparison...good ideas overall man.

Inclined to agree, they've almost gone OTT with the Blue inside the Dome now.

To facilitate real grass I'd have transparent roof panels added to the roof (mainly the 2 moving panels) to allow natural light in, not sure if panels on the roof though would cause issues with reflections on the field though?

They'd use the lights like they do at Miller park or almost all football fields over in your area I'd imagine. The biggest issue is the humidity level increase and drainage systems.

Interesting

Mixing 92/92 moments with 2015

I like it. As great as 92/93 were, being at the top of the mountain, its a damned shame thats all we had to cling to as Jays fans. The marketing of those years, last year, and now, all coupled with winning is great.

CF seats are covered with black tarp for the "batter's eye"

Absolutely this, enough lighting for grass growth in the dome will be the easiest obstacle to overcome.

Will Harold Reynolds say 'dirt' or 'turf' more this year when braodcasting at Rogers Center?

Thankfully he's no longer with Fox so he shouldn't be broadcasting playoff games this year

So a friend of a friend says that his employer has been contracted to design a new roof system or somehow modify the existing one. Still preliminary but would seem to indicate that they are looking to install grass at some point.

Anyone taking their kids to run the bases on Saturday?

Would be cool to get down there and check it out first hand

Except they won't let parents run with their kids. I tried once. LOL

I got to do it once by dressing my 6 month old in a Blue Jays onesie. Because she couldn't walk at the time I got to do it lol.
