jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Good luck getting anyone to buy at your prices when they are going for less than face value in some cases on the Stub lol My prices were actually quite fair - face value 500 level seats are $121 and I'm asking for $180. Cheapest pair for Game 3 (home Game 1) to get into the building still comes out to $304 CAD way up in the 500 outfields. I'll obviously adjust my prices if thats what the market is demanding.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Everyday there's more tickets for game 4 available. The idea of watching Ra dickey fizzle out to end the season might be a painful one. I'm sure the market will improve a bit if Jay's win Monday though. But there's almost 10,000 tickets available for game 4 It's also a 3PM start time in the second round. Some people may have called in sick for the 1st round and will be less likely to do it again a week later
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I am doing my research on tickets can someone tell me which sections are non drinking ?
Pulk_Pull Verified Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 If the Jays win Game 3 I may try to grab some tickets for around face value for Game 4/5. Pretty interesting to see how the prices are generally lower for the ALCS... I was going to hold onto my money for the WS but I was willing to buy ALCS tickets at face on TM so I think I'll revisit that...
Roy Halladay Verified Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Ya kind of mindblowing how the ALCS tickets are going for so much cheaper than ALDS. 4pm start times don't help
Pulk_Pull Verified Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Ya kind of mindblowing how the ALCS tickets are going for so much cheaper than ALDS. 4pm start times don't help Yet all three games in the ALDS were at 4pm or earlier.... heck tickets for Game 4 of the ALCS are already cheaper on average than the ones for Game 2 of the ALDS and that was a 12:30pm start time! I wonder if a lot of people ate money in the ALCS due to trying to overprice their tickets and therefore have learned and are trying to find a sweeter spot that isn't 3-4x the face value. That being said, say the Jays take Game 3 and 4, I can see Game 5 tickets getting a big boost.
S33n Verified Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I have a pair in the 500's and a pair in 113CL row 3 (aisle seats) for all remaining home games. PM me if interested.
CrackerJack Verified Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 wonder how many KC fans are making the trek to T.O.? whether that # is very big or small would affect the secondary market. (but Royals fans probably are saving up their travelling funds for a hopeful Fall Classic trip to NY or Chicago)

I'm planning on going to game 4 and then selling game 5. Hopefully I can make back the money I lost on my previous f*** up.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Did you sell them on Stubhub? I have 100 level tickets to game 3, 4 and 5. Face Value was $225 a ticket wondering what is reasonable pricing for it.
CBlake Verified Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Tickets have really been coming down on Stubhub today. Just saw one in 531 for $90, that it pretty good considering it's the infield.
geer36 Verified Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Some friends of mine had someone bail out for Tuesday's game, and now I'm going with them. As a result, I have a single for sale in Sec 515 for $120, same as I paid. Message me if u want it, lets cut stubhub out of the loop!
Yorkshire Blue Jay Verified Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Wow game 4 tickets available for less than $80 on stubhub with almost 8800 still available, I would expect them to come lower still!

Governator Community Moderator Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Tickets for Tuesday are dirt cheap right now.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Tickets for Tuesday are dirt cheap right now. It's probably going to be a great game. Dickey vs Young could be a slugfest

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Toronto sports fans are terrible lol
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Toronto sports fans are terrible lol Yet Toronto sports fans will still pay $400-$500 to see an AHL team play a regular season game at the ACC.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Yet Toronto sports fans will still pay $400-$500 to see an AHL team play a regular season game at the ACC. The masses in the GTA love hockey. Every other sport comes 2nd.
DonnysManbun Verified Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I think it's more that the prices face value wise were kind of silly for alcs. I spent 225 Canadian on stubhub to sit in the 20th row At acc for the raptors game one VS Brooklyn. There's how many seats in the acc? 20k? Less than half the dome. Value just seemed a bit over the top. World series tickets might be a different story
geer36 Verified Member Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Wow, this could have been bad. I found a buyer for my single ticket, went into stubhub to delete it, and it deleted just fine. I refreshed my account and it was still there! I tried several times again with the same result. Went to live chat support, and it appears to be a problem with the new software, they had me switch the page to stubhub classic and it finally deleted the listing. If that ticket had sold on stubhub, that person would not get in, and I would have been charged by stubhub!! Moral of the story, double check when you are deleting listings.
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Why does Stub Hub say 3:07pm for tue/Wed games, aren't they 4pm?

Had the same problem. Pulled my listing down for ALCS game 1 in the morning, and I got a message at 10pm saying it sold. Not complaining though, since it sold for well above face value.
Roy Halladay Verified Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 How do people know how many tickets are available on stubhub (e.g. someone said there was 8,000 tickets being sold)? I can't seem to find that information when I look around on the stub hub website
DonnysManbun Verified Member Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 In the market for a game 5 100 level infield pair. Preferably first 20ish rows on 3rd baseline. Let me know people

Now if the Series is tied at 2 going into Wednesday you most likely a real appetite for tickets and sellers will benefit. Having been in attendance when both Oakland and Minnesota clinched the ALCS in Toronto that is not a fun experience, so some people may be avoiding it.
