imsorry4beatinU Verified Member Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Some guy had his 130A listed for 175 each so I bought them put them right back up and they sold for 325. made a couple hundred bucks and barely did anything lol. I saw that earlier in the sold section. 130 A row 29?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 I saw that earlier in the sold section. 130 A row 29? I think so. They were like 200$ cheaper than anything else at the time.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Will not be going to every game. 1 game per series probably Sell now and make big money.
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 When you guys say you sold them for X amount. Is that what the buyer paid with fees, without fees, or what you made after fees?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 When you guys say you sold them for X amount. Is that what the buyer paid with fees, without fees, or what you made after fees? Since stubhub is in USD$ the difference in fees really doesn't mean anything for the seller. Say you sold for $200 minus the 25% fee it works out to $150. $150 USD=$200 CAD
Roy Halladay Verified Member Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 So I have 4 tickets to ALDS game 2 (row 7 section 505) and none for game 1. What I want is 2 tickets to each game. I'm willing to swap 2 for 2 if anyone is interested Cheers Interested

I have 113A's I'm trying to sell which are pretty equivalent to your re-sale tickets. I listed them at 350
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 How reliable are they? No more or less reliable than Stubhub.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 10% on seller 15% to buyer. I did a fake listing to see what it was like. If I listed my tickets for $420. The buyer sees $495, while i only get $378. Pretty brutal Yeah but that they split it like that is an illusion, nothing more. At the end of the day, the buyer fee is just more money not going in the seller's pocket. As a total transaction fee, it's tickpick 10%, Stubhub 25%. Listing with Stubhub only lists your tickets on stubhub. Listing on Tickpick lists them on 5 websites, including Stubhub, and no matter where they are sold it's 10% of your sale going to fees. I sold 2 tickets for 120 each, I got 108 each, no questions asked.
TilsonBritoFan Verified Member Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 I agree that today has been a great day to sell with all the hype and people panicking. But I don't think tickets are all of a sudden going to get a lot cheaper. Consider: A lot of people are waiting to buy until they see what time the game will be (4:00 vs 7:00) and whether or not they'll need to take time off work or not to make it. Also the Jays haven't technically clinched yet so nothing is guaranteed. Theres a bunch of people waiting until they clinch, and who wants to fork out $500 or $1000 when they don't know which game works better for them yet? I think you will see another huge surge the day the Jays clinch a playoff spot. An even bigger surge the day they clinch the division. And then the biggest surge of all on the day they actually release the tickets with dates/times and everyone is able to verify they can actually attend the game. Don't forget that right now no one is able to make their tickets available for instant download. As soon as that becomes available it makes the tickets more appealing as well.
canadiansportsjunkie Verified Member Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Well I missed out...Going for $180 ish for the 500's for one ticket. I don't see the value going much higher then that right?

Or watch at home in HD and eat 3000 calories. The dome is annoying. Seats are too small and there are too many failed waves.

I'd rather watch at a bar and get hammered than pay $200 for nosebleeds. It all depends on a persons financial situation. $200 is a lot of money to some people, and not a lot to others. 15 years ago when I was 20 and in university I'd be right there with you, I couldn't afford to go. But I can now, and I've been waiting 23 years for this - so I would have no problem paying $200 for the worst seat in the house just for the experience and to say I was there. There are a lot of people like you but there are also a lot of people like me. Thats why the prices will stay pretty high I think. canadiansportsjunkie, I think they prices might come down a bit over the next few days, but they might go back up again based on the factors I mentioned a few posts up. If $180 isn't life changing money, why not? You'd be going to a playoff game and I can't see how you would come to regret it. Its not like these tickets are about to be free.

For me the prices are too much just because I know myself....Pre-drinking at a bar. A bunch of beer at the dome. Then back to the bar. Easy $1,000. Heck I went 3 weeks ago with free tickets and dropped $500! I was hoping to buy for the re-sell factor. I will get free tickets for at least one game

It's not just the ticket price that is the cost of the evening for most. However I will say for a Toronto sports team. The prices are fair

Just checked Leafs ticket prices, over $150 to sit in the upper deck to watch the garbage Leafs in a regular season game, and up to $800 to sit in the platinum's. Now thats INSANE.

Should you be talking that bad about the Leafs? You know your employer has a majority stake in MLSE now lol

2lowitzki Verified Member Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 If someone cancels the postseason ticket or their payment failed (especially credit card), what would happen to those tickets? And how low the ticket can go on Stubhub until the day before the gameday? I was just upset and was in down mood for the whole day because I couldn't get my fxxxin ticket this morning. Wasted one hour with nothing If I don't get my ALDS ticket, I will try for ALCS although my parents said don't buy the ticket since it is waste of money.

If your credit card declines any payment the tickets get re-released from my understanding. I think the lowest a ticket will go last second before a game would be anyone's guess.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 (edited) So is StubHub a trustworthy site for buying tickets? If I buy a pair of tix, will the seats be one next to the other? Edited September 25, 2015 by Montreal_kid61
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 So is StubHub a trustworthy site for buying tickets? What happens if the Jays don't make the ALDS? Does StubHub issue refunds? Sites like StubHub and Vivid Seats are 100% trustworthy for buying tickets on the secondary market. As a buyer, I'd rather buy an expensive ticket on StubHub over an actual scalper or from someone on Kijiji, since the ticket you are purchasing is verified and legit. You would get your money refunded if the game isn't played.
