I got renewed at $109 USD -> charged $152 CAD lol. Well worth it tho. I watch this on my PC, surface, phones, PS4, my chromecast and Nexus Player. The versatility of this app is amazing. Best part is my brother can watch at home while I watch at school, good thing they don't have any 1 person at a time ******** going on

 

Last year, I watched MLBTV on my ipad and it was great. This year i'd like to stream the baseball games to a TV for the bigger screen. (I don't have cable.) Excuse my ignorance ... is the easiest (and cheapest) way to do this simply to buy chromecast? Is the ipad--chromecast--tv streaming a recommended glitch-free way to go?

Can you buy an iPad --> HDMI adapter? That's probably best. Chromecast is cool but it can be glitchy, especially if you don't have great wifi

I find Chromecast to be very unreliable. Many times it lags and freezes.

Thought I'd give it a try cause it was Google and cheap, but if I'd buy something else it would be a Roku, I have a couple of them and they are great without any problems.

Yeah. I don't own an iPad but I'm assuming it is the simplest and cheapest and most reliable way to do this.

Views on the Chromecast varies, so I'll give you this advice; buy a Chromecast from a place like Best Buy that can take returns on open products. See how it preforms for you, if you find it good in terms of speed and quality, keep it. If not, return it. In my old house the Chromecast preformed like s***, in my new place it preforms really well. There are many things that can cause Wi-Fi interference, so the best way to answer this is trial and error

Well, I bought MLBTV today and also bought Chromecast at Best Buy. Works perfectly for me. Just gonna need more monthly internet now haha. Approximately how many GBs is a 3 hour baseball game?

Depends on your quality settings, but when I used to have it until I switched back to cable I think I averaged 7GB - 10GB per game so make sure you get unlimited internet or you'll be f***ed.

For those in the US and are T-Mobile customers, they are running a promotion where existing customers can get MLB TV for free. You have to sign up by 4/10. The initial sign-up has to be on a mobile device (wifi turned off). Once you are in, you can access thru wifi.
