Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Do you have location services enabled on your phone? Thanks, that fixed it. I think I had turned it off by accident when I first got the app
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 I strongly recommend cancelling your auto-renewal the second you finish payment. Othewise, it's very easy to forget and they jack you with the billing in like January, for a s***-load. Also, be very careful filling out the form, as they have a lot of co-registration, which could cause you to sign up for a subscription to Sports Illustrated etc, that you don't want.

Thanks for the heads up As mentioned earlier, if you cancel within five days, they will cancel the whole subscription and refund your money. YOu need to cancel after five days.
flafson Verified Member Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Think we still need one more: http://goo.gl/tbTh3o I think you agree to pay $9.99 but if everyone signs up you get it for $2.50. And when you cancel you have to wait atleast five days or it will cancel your whole subscription and refund you for this year. So wait a week and cancel so you don't get charged for next year. I just also joined, thanks. Says it will process my card in 13 hours.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Is the $10 promo only available today?
TilsonBritoFan Verified Member Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Why would we want to pay 75% more if we don't have to? That's a pretty stupid question. I just bought a new house. I was thinking of paying an extra $50k just because I can afford it, but thought what the heck, I'll just keep that money. because 50K = $2.50.

admin Site Manager Posted August 27, 2015 Author Posted August 27, 2015 because 50K = $2.50. MIssing the point here.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 MIssing the point here. How does one cancel the auto renewal?
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 How does one cancel the auto renewal? log into mlb.com, Audio/Video Subscriptions... cancel... but don't do it until the season is over. you wont get a refund.
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 As mentioned earlier, if you cancel within five days, they will cancel the whole subscription and refund your money. YOu need to cancel after five days. Interesting. That must be new. The entire reason they're giving it away for this price is because they know a certain percentage of people will forget to cancel, and the auto-renew will kick in. That's what the five day wait is for too. They know most people that cancel auto-renew do it on the first day. If you don't do it then, your odds of forgetting go way up. It's a really dishonest practice, but it seems common with pretty much every online subscription. Should be illegal to force auto-renewal on people.

Stupid EU added a 25% tax on all american sports packages. This year Mlb didn't inform so they ended up having to eat the bullet, but next year it will be more expensive. I might just go with pirated streams.

Are there group discounts like this on MLBtv at the beginning of the season? If there is, we could make a big group for the discount

Yeah I was reading and it was just added not too long ago. Super shady. I or someone will make a post in a week and remind everyone.

Laika Community Moderator Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Hi guys, its my first time on this messages board. Does anybody knows if we can catch the post season with mlb.tv? I live in montreal and from with I understand, mlb.tv will blackout all post season games. Thank you! Fox, etc. own national broadcast rights, so the games are all blacked out on MLB.tv in the postseason. IIRC there is some functionality still. You can watch the games live from various cameras of your choice, but there is no commentary and there are no graphics. It's just a video feed, no replays, mediocre quality. Not a terrible option if you can somehow get radio in your ears and synced up to the feed...

In all seriousness though, that kinda sucks. Hopefully you guys can get it resolved.
admin Site Manager Posted September 4, 2015 Author Posted September 4, 2015 wtf me too. Let me see what I find out. Apparently it's supposed to get credited, we'll see. I wonder if this company has the deal with MLB, maybe MLB charges the full price and it's up to this company to credit the discount back. I'll filea chargeback if it doesn't get refunded

I did it already. Said I'll still have access until the end of this billing period. The canceling is just of the auto renewal. They can't take away your current subscription that you already paid for..
