Well if you look at the team, we got a 3-4 yr window now with JD, TT, and Martin.

This offseason we will have money to sign FA's.

We made only one rental trade giving up Norris. Norris can be replaced in one draft year. JD and TT have control.

 

So no the team is not gutted.

 

Given our offence, I want Price over "BIG GAME SHIELDS" in a one game WC. Shields sucks in the playoffs.

How has he gutted us? We still have Stroman, Sanchez, Pompey, Osuna, Alford, Harris, as well as a cost-controlled core. I'm not saying the Price trade was cheap or wise, but to say our team youth is gutted is just flat out wrong. We kept our best young players and prospects IMO.

 

Every organization has guys in their system who are touted. AA has taken a big chunk of those guys away. Many prospects don't pan out anyway and now the odds are even loss with many of the highest prospects gone. Our system has been gutted whether you want to admit it or not.
