Yay no Alford. Although Labourt is good it definitely softens things a bit.

no Alford is a little easy to swallow but Norris but for 11 Price starts is still hard to accept

Oh f***. I guess being late for an appointment is a good thing so I can see the news but I'm f***ing scared at the cost. (Sorry, I haven't read through the entire thread but have seen Norris is going along with two others). I hope the Jays can either flip him by the August waiver deadline if they're out of it or can sign him to an extension. I don't see AA giving up the farm for a rental especially since he keeps going on about control. The Jays would have time to work out a potential extension but I hope it's a condition of the deal or they can make him an offer (they seem to like giving out $20M/year deals or taking them on which would basically replace MB's contract) that he doesn't reject. With the offense behind him he might think twice especially if the Jays can make a push for the post season and get in. It seems like a desperation move. Maybe when the dust settles it'll make more sense.

Labourt is a reliever so not worth much, Boyd has decent stuff that will work better in Cumerica Park because hes a flyball pitcher and Norris is very risky but you gotta give to receive

Norris stock was falling, not rising. Ineffectiveness, walk rate and concern on dropping velocity. I have no problems.

Payroll doesn't matter but s***** pitching at 34 while paying him 30+ million is ludicrous. These guys don't get it
