At this rate, Osuna's arm will fall out sooner or later. Great job, Gibby!

Gibby wastes no time making dumb moves first game after the all star break using Osuna here.

someone said early in the GDT that it was a bad crowd. It was 33k... that's a good month for the rays

Yankees on the verge of winning, but Baltimore losing and the Rays obviously lost. Gained some ground on the others, at least.

yankees will be tough to catch this year. They have the bucks to add at the deadline

Still can catch the Astros/Angels and Twins.. despite their strong performance, the Twins are not going to keep this up. Their pitching isn't strong enough to stay in contention.

The Jays have six games against the Yankees in August and another seven in September. They need to keep it close and then win more of the head-to-head matchups than they lose.

I agree though, Yanks will certainly add someone, and are already projected to win 87 games this season (Jays at 81). Not looking good, but still enough time left to hope (for now).

Gonna have to go 44-26 to close out regular season. Question is...can we do it?

After today Yankees project to win 88 but it will be higher then that... so yeah, we're toast. WC not looking much better, either.

lol anything can happen. Projected toast doesn't mean they're actually toasted are you joking?

I'm just using common sense actually. Slim chance.

So the yankees that have a pitching staff held together with chicken wire, aging players, and arod that is over 40 and not likely to maintain his pace, are shoo ins, but the Jays have no chance?

Does anyone on this board ever have a positive thought?

The Jays were projected to win 85 games a week or so ago. Things can change. But yes, it's a long shot. If they had even last year's rotation, I would be more comfortable, but Dickey/Doubront don't project well. Replace those two with legit starters, then maybe.

It didn't take 90 wins to get into the playoffs last year and it won't this year.

We will be close all year most likely to fall short because of the rotation...need a move for a top SP to get into the playoffs...need 2 SP's and 1 RP via trade trade with sanchez moving to the pen to be a threat
