Lol take out Price after 6 only throwing 80 pitches.... f*** Some people are f***ed. Not a manager in the league would do that guaranteed except the smartest and brightest on the Blue Jays Message Board after the fact lol

If you don't recognize Joe Maddon as one of the better managers in the game, then I don't know how you could differentiate good from bad.

where did I say or suggest that Maddon isn't "one of the better managers in the game?"

(in fact, I began by stipulating that I wanted to hear names other that Maddon, Bochy & Hurdle)

we're talking about GREAT managers (which many of you sheep buy the hype about)

explain to me how Joe Maddon is a great on-field general?

(... because he can't be seen without his big bright card of matchups in his hand? haha)

if a manager can turn a clear non-playoff team into a playoff team because of something he's doing, then (yeah) i'll acknowledge that he's great.

Josh Donaldson.

3rd inning, 2 runners on, 0 out.

Bunts the two runners over.

CrackerJack must have shed tears of joy at that display of managerial genius.

How do you even know Gibby called for it? Donaldson most likely just went rogue

Name one manager who has ever led a Phillies esque team to the post season.

Why would Donaldson do that?

One of them is an idiot. I'm leaning towards the Hick with a track record of idiocy.

Because he makes bonehead plays sometimes. That was all Donaldson. No way Gibby called a bunt.

He did that on his own, meat.

Gibby may be an old dinosaur but he has never forced any of his superstars to bunt in a situation like that, ever. The most likely scenario was Donaldson sensing a hole on the infield and trying to cheese a free base hit

He wasn't on top of his game. You could tell Price was annoyed with the bugs. Why do we have relievers? Look at Estrada today. Stayed in too long.

Shouldn't have brought Osuna in for the 9th either.

I was out, but... was there some Gibbons bashing based on Osuna not being perfect tonight? Wouldn't shock me....

Nah...but the usual, pull your starter after 6 and a pitch count and in the 70's...or trying to pin Donaldson't bunt in the 3rd inning on him.

Same old...

I guess we just have to deal with the fact that people are dumb... Oh well!

Why was Donaldson bunting

We all know why he was bunting. He tried to be the smartest guy in the room and surprise the defense and it didn't work.

The funny thing is people trying to pin every failed play on Gibby... Whether he called it or not. It's a witch hunt with some of you and it's hilarious..... And sad.... It's sadlarious.

Your right, 6th Inning Struck out 2 of 3, 5th inning struck out 2 of 3..... I mean all the warning signs where there. We didn't pick up one of the top pitchers in the game to go 6 innings meat.

But the bugs! They were all creepy and slimy and buzzy and it was bugging him.

gibby should have given him more insect repellent. managers like Girardi make sure to give all their starters as much bug spray as they need

Holy s***! lol

if you were being even remotely serious (about Gibbons calling for the bunt) then it'd be wise to refrain from commenting on stuff where you're just embarrassing yourself.

no offence, bro

maybe you're new to baseball?

(I hope)

Gibbons loses us another game. He's gotta go out there and talk to the pitcher when they're struggling.

... They've scored 2 runs and this loss is on Gibbons?

Posted
Funny that every time they lose, which isn't very often, it's always Gibby's fault. When they win, it's all about the players.
