Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 28, 2015 Author Posted April 28, 2015 Would you trade Hoffman for Mike Trout? Remember that we already have a centrefielder. In the other thread I was assuming Bryant was mainly a 3B that's also why I didn't like that idea, need to see him more at other positions. I would entertain Hoffman for Trout since Trout has proven himself over 3 seasons. We have a CF but Trout is wayyyyyy better. Then could possible trad Pompey+ for pitching Edit: Harper-No ;Stanton-wait and see, Cutch-Not right now
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Good thing all 3 of you came to make the same point.

FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 The Three Stooges (Beeston, AA, Gibbons) need to be thrown out on their asses immediately. 21 years of no playoffs is f***ing embarrassing and it looks like it'll be 22 soon.
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 There is positivity in all this losing. This crap will be blown up at the deadline Rogers will be trotting out this fraud team all year and won't even make a move at the deadline. Let's be real now. It's Toronto sports - tickets and merchandise sales > winning.

King Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 How about Hoffman + Pompey + DJ Davis for Trout + Garrett Richards? Edit: oh ok This reminds me of the time when we questioned the Kalbots if they would trade Kal for Trout
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 28, 2015 Author Posted April 28, 2015 lol ok i'm out Harper is Lawrie but more consistent with more power, I still think Stanton has been impacted by the HBP, and Cutch is enticing but I'd rather see Hoffman before I'd do that. Northof49- probably even though not sold on Richards this year yet. Lots of walks.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 why did the fantasy guys take over the fire Gibbons thread? lol slow night in the fantasy world?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 28, 2015 Author Posted April 28, 2015 I tried defending you, but it was all for naught. It's cool, I know my opinion isn't well liked. From what I have seen of Hoffman I think he can be a star. I would definitely trade other people for the names mentioned
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 28, 2015 Author Posted April 28, 2015 Holy s***. Great input...come back anytime
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I can see not wanting to trade Hoffman for Stanton. You can very easily defend passing on that contract.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Great input...come back anytime you're in over your head mate. quit while you are really far behind.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I can see not wanting to trade Hoffman for Stanton. You can very easily defend passing on that contract. the scary thing is that some team will take that contract off Miami at some point.

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 28, 2015 Author Posted April 28, 2015 How many games have you seen Hoffman pitch? I'm curious to know what your opinion is based on. As much as I can. Obviously mainly in college through highlights, game replays, etc. Lots of film was out there leading up to the draft last year.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Lol somehow this guy is getting a reaction by suggesting that he wouldn't trade Hoffman for anything.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 28, 2015 Author Posted April 28, 2015 you're in over your head mate. quit while you are really far behind. It's cool. I really believe in Hoffman, so if people want to rag on me it's fine.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 It's cool. I really believe in Hoffman, so if people want to rag on me it's fine. Do you believe Hoffman can reach close to the 10 win marks Trout usually reaches?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 It's cool. I really believe in Hoffman, so if people want to rag on me it's fine. So you wouldn't trade Hoffman (possible top-10 prospect) for McCutchen (NL MVP) straight up?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Hoff will be a perennial twenty game winnah. Don't be silly. don't
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 28, 2015 Author Posted April 28, 2015 So you wouldn't trade Hoffman (possible top-10 prospect) for McCutchen (NL MVP) straight up? Not right now. Need to see Hoffman post TJ to be make an opinion one way or the other.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 28, 2015 Author Posted April 28, 2015 Do you believe Hoffman can reach close to the 10 win marks Trout usually reaches? Hopefully more like Felix...hard for a pitcher to get that high
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Still don't think he should be traded until we see how he pans out. There should be some sort of competency test you have to take to be allowed to express opinions on this board.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 It's cool. I really believe in Hoffman, so if people want to rag on me it's fine. do you also realize that they are making fun of you? lol you've made it into a sport mate. I give you props for dragging them away from the off topic section, but you really should listen to the guys who know the numbers. but if you dont mind them picking on you, have at it.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 28, 2015 Author Posted April 28, 2015 There should be some sort of competency test you have to take to be allowed to express opinions on this board. Tell me when you pass it
