Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 with the quality of his at bats and with Tulo and D Travis back in the lineup next year, he bats 9th guaranteed heck, he bats 9th behind Goins this year when Tulo comes back (fingers crossed) I still like Tulo leading off and Revere batting 9th (who's then essentially you're leadoff guy after the first time around). Pillar 8th in that mix is good.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Gonna be pretty hard to not give Cecil multiple inning appearances in the playoffs when he hasn't really had a TON of work this year to date. In his last 27 innings... 36K/4BB, 0ER Complete stud.

Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Check that apparently it was not earned even though it was him that made the error lol
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 AA is on PTS live right now. Seems really amped up. Bet you he got signed to a deal to stay here that just hasn't been announced yet.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 McCown DESPERATELY trying to get AA to say he regrets trading Syndergaard.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Connor Greene name drop by AA
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Lol McCown "do you think he has a chance to compete for a rotation spot?". Grab a f***ing brain man.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 McCown DESPERATELY trying to get AA to say he regrets trading Syndergaard. lol AA wasn't going to say that with Dickey still on the Jays. Maybe if he said Yan Gomes he would of admitted it.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 lol AA wasn't going to say that with Dickey still on the Jays. Maybe if he said Yan Gomes he would of admitted it. McCown and Arash were drilling him pretty hard, asking questions like: -What is the one trade you regret? -Which player do you most regret trading? -Which player has been better than you expected when you traded? Then McCown blurts out "SYNDERGAAAARD", like a twelve year old who couldn't keep a secret. Of course AA blew it off, saying they knew he'd be good- "we took him in the sandwich round, hard thrower" etc. tldr; McCown wears his sunglasses at night.
leaffie Verified Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I thought the jays got Barney for his gold glove defense, why isnt he playing???
nextyear Verified Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I thought the jays got Barney for his gold glove defense, why isnt he playing??? Barney is not eligible for the playoff roster whereas Kawasaki is. Since Tulowitzki probably won't be playing in the first round, the Blue Jays probably want to get Kawasaki into a game that is meaningful. Pennington might be tired also, since he wasn't playing very much in Arizona prior to coming to the Blue Jays.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I thought the jays got Barney for his gold glove defense, why isnt he playing??? Why waste him with an Extreme flyball pitcher pitching. Severino has been dominant vs RHB and not good vs LHB so far so looks like a no brainer to have Kawa in. With a PH for late innings you can put Barney in for defense later which could have a bigger influence on the game.

Makes every single sentence he says have some stupid narrative attached to it.

reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Samardzija threw a 1 hit, no walk shutout last night. Honestly he is the perfect buy low if there is such a thing. His pitch selection has been the problem this year, guy still has the velocity and the stuff is very much still there, and he is built to pitch 200+ innings into his 30s.
nextyear Verified Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Any Blue Jays fan must be stoked for the 3rd game tonight against the Yankees. Stroman will be fired up for sure. I like this picture of Stroman greeting Price coming into the dugout. I am not really a Lion King fan but this picture is fitting: Mufasa and Simba http://images2.fanpop.com/images/photos/7600000/Mufasa-and-Simba-mufasa-7681872-1039-768.jpg
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Price and Stroman would make such a nice 1-2 punch for the next 5 years.
CHRIS Verified Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 As disappointing as last night's loss was, how great is meaningful September baseball? I think last night's 9th inning sums it up well; a bit of despair at the thought of trying to score a run off Miller, elation of Navarro's homerun, hope and nervousness with the bases loaded, anguish with Donaldson's strikeout. So great to be part of these kinds of games.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 lol AA wasn't going to say that with Dickey still on the Jays. Maybe if he said Yan Gomes he would of admitted it. Admitting you let a good prospect get away doesn't necessarily mean it was a bad trade.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Goddamn Brunt is good
Governator Community Moderator Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 8 of the last 9 outs from Cecil have come from strikeouts and 6 in a row.

Governator Community Moderator Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Total beast mode There's no I in TEAM but Cecil just needs a catcher.
puphood Verified Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 What I took away from last nights game is Bautista's arm is back and its a laser. Been waiting for that all year. Bull pen will be fine. Need Tulo back in Oct. Three solo HR's but left bases loaded?......need tonight in the win column with Stroman
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Tonight if we win. That is the end of the Yankees
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Tonight if we win. That is the end of the Yankees Not really. If we lose this game but the Yankees lose the series to the Bosox, then that is the end
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 This is as big as a game gets Bring it on!
Mac Outlaw Verified Member Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Anybody else think it's important the Jays try and get their rotation lined up for how it will look in the ALDS? I'd line them up Price-Dickey-Stroman-Estrada. I think you want RA in the Rogers Centre, not on the road Game 3. Stroman is like a second ace, he can start Game 3 on the road. If the rotation gets juggled in the next couple of days, we'll know what they're thinking coming post-season. It wouldn't be that hard to juggle either. Keep everyone on their normal rest and give Dickey and Estrada a few extra days off then put RA in after Price and Estrada after Stroman.
