So now that Parra is gone, either we end up with Pompey in the 2nd half, or we trade Pompey for another big piece and stick with lolbello.

If we can acquire someone to platoon with Valencia in LF, like a Seth Smith, it would be great. Then again I'd rather another reliever/back end starter than a left fielder, especially with Pompey in AAA and Saunders on the DL

Don't understand why people would want Pompey over him this year. He is a lefty bat and a decent OF that's a finished product. There will be next year for Pompey

Adding another SP or BP arm is way more beneficial than worrying about a slight improvement in LF. I'm not sure what AA is thinking, but all trade chips need to be focused on an arm. Pompey will be fine in LF. Even Valencia isn't doing horrible there, he can still hit with some pop. We need a SP more than we need a LFer right now.

Lets not forget how weak we are in terms of OF depth beyond Pompey. Carerra/Colabello with semi regular time would kill us.

I'd still rather flip Pillar and hold on to Pompey but, Saunders should be back by September. Give Pompey a run and see what he can do. If you really need to pick up an OF'er before the waiver trade deadline.
