candymartinez Verified Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 I'd rather have Hutchinson hit over Pillar there.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Tampa & Boston lost. not bad though.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Colabello needs to step up his OF hustle if he wants to have any chance to stay in the majors.... he plays OF like a f***ing sloth. dude... he's a corner infielder. lol
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Welp, the sun getting in Carrera's eyes was the difference in the game. Sucks.
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 what i got from this game: - defense still sucks - reyes needs to stop playing like he's in sunday league - pillar needs to stop playing period - donaldson is the goat - jonn is failing pretty hard at damage control
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Where is Gruber "I TOLD YOU PILLAR WOULD BE BETTER THAN SAUNDERS!!!!" now? Until Saunders actually plays and contributes, Pillar is better. Don't say it's not his fault he's hurt, that's part of his MO.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 These are games you have to win especially after losing so many like this.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 lol Pillar. Just stop swinging dude. Crap bullpen again.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 is tomorrow a day off? Would suck to have this loss linger..
Governator Community Moderator Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Sucks to lose a game like that. Though not as bad as being up by 2 and giving up a 3 run walk off in the 9th.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 I still can't believe Pompey was sent down after 22 games. I think Gibby had a lot of input on this one. Pompey must have pissed him off somehow, combined with Pillar playing well at the time, led to this stupid f***ing decision. Real baseball minds know 22 games is not a large enough sample.
S33n Verified Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 They subbed Goins for Valencia, turns out Tolleson is hurt and couldn't take 2B, so Martin went to 2B and Thole went to catch 8th onward. DAT ROSTER FLEXIBILITY!!!! CAN"T WAIT TILL FATTY IS BACK TOO! cf
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 We should go get Gomez...at least we would have an actual everyday outfielder

Real baseball minds know 22 games is not a large enough sample. sending Pompey is good. I think he'll be there until he can get his mental game back. The guy is depressive as f***. The day he admitted that he was playing scared (Which you never say to begin with) was the day that revealed he's pretty weak mentally. edit: and I hate that stupid commercial that focuses on him, and he looks away from the camera, eyes dead. Stop looking so sulken and bored brah.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 dude... he's a corner infielder. lol Haha, wow.

Sorrow Verified Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 We need someone in CF not named Pillar VS RHP. Get De Aza, call up Pompey. Pompey had much better at bats than Pillar has had the lost month.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 DAT ROSTER FLEXIBILITY!!!! CAN"T WAIT TILL FATTY IS BACK TOO! cf Fatty will provide a decent bench bat while we send Tolleson packing.
Top 10 Personal Catcher Verified Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Serious question: Why does Pillar approach hitting the way he does? It doesn't make any sense to me. I mean, we all know that Thole is a crap hitter, but any contribution he does make offensively is because he's not a moron. He appears to understand his limitations, and while he is lacking in talent, he usually puts forth his best effort to get on base however he can. With Pillar, any offensive contribution he makes is because he happens to make contact with his flailing swing. I just don't get why he continues to use this approach. It defies reason.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 lol Pillar. Just stop swinging dude. Crap bullpen again. No idea how he is still an everyday player
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Pillar ends up almost standing on home plate halfway through his big late hack.
