He's a lot more useful as a spot starter than a reliever actually. He'll provide Sanchez insurance tomorrow and maybe take over his spot if things go badly for Aaron again.

Honestly I'd probably bump Hendriks ahead of Estrada for a rotation spot, he's been damn good.

I like him from the pen, his stuff plays up. As a starter he was 88-92 if I recall and I've seen him 90-95 this year.

Yeah but you could also argue that it's all the more reason to keep Hendriks as a reliever. Hendriks looks like he might provide value in any role. Estrada on the other hand is kind of a square peg for this team. His flyball tendencies don't play well in short relief especially at Roger's Centre. All his value comes from his ability to be a serviceable starter. If you don't need him to make starts then you don't really need him at all.

I think scouts said that he has 15-20 homer pop.

 

The 2/3 homers he has hit in the bigs were crushed, but I think he only has pull power. I don't see him having oppo power like A-Gon or Davis.
