gbill2004 Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Michael Saunders (knee) left a rehab game with High-A Dunedin on Sunday with a tight hamstring. The Blue Jays are calling his removal precautionary, but it's not clear when he'll return to game action. Saunders was hoping to be activated from the disabled list later this week, but that could be in jeopardy now. Source: Gregor Chisholm on Twitter
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Just make sure he's healthy when he comes back. The last thing I want to see happen is rush him back before he's ready.
Travis_Snider Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Pillar is doing ok, no rush bros
5minutesforframing Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Shouldn't have been completely unexpected
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Happ was pretty good in his first start for the Mariners.
5minutesforframing Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Tightness != injury. Try again?
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Try again? lrn2programming. != is does not equal.

dineke Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Saunders' hammy is just showing respect to Pillar. GOAT
TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Probably never even play for the Blue Jays! Deadpool? You never know who he might play for. I plan to hire his band for my wake. PS. this is now a binding contract...good luck collecting your pay.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Saunders' hammy is just showing respect to Pillar. GOAT I've always been a big Pillar guy. He's still not best utilized as an everyday player, not to mention when Bautista breaks his hand/leg/ankle next week the Jays will badly need Saunders.
RIPEXPOS Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Pillar is playing fantastic, so no need to rush him.
Ultimate Verified Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Pillar has failed to hit MLB pitching at an average level (in 2 chances). This is his 3rd chances and even though its a ridiculously small sample size he is again not meeting that production level. He is good defensively and may be able to hit lefties and be a platoon guy. But aside from his minor league stats I haven't seen anything to suggest he can be an every day guy at the MLB level. It is worth noting that he is the only every day player on the team that has not yet earned a walk yet this season. That was a huge issue for him the last 2 seasons in the bigs as well.

To be fair, I'm not THAT friendly... Deadpool? You never know who he might play for. I plan to hire his band for my wake. PS. this is now a binding contract...good luck collecting your pay. Yeah, I'm a musician man, I'm totally used to not getting paid. Edit: I'm sure playing your wake will give me plenty of ExposureDollars, which is apparently a currency that exists in the mind of venue owners and can probably be redeemed for goods and services in Literalynowheresylvania.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 lrn2programming. != is does not equal. So what you're saying is != = !=?

He looks just fine to me right now. He's also having some bad luck from BAPIP which leads me to believe he will be ok.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 So what you're saying is != = !=? Exactly.
polar bear Verified Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 I still think it was crazy trading Happ for Saunders.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 I still think it was crazy trading Happ for Saunders. I think it's crazy that you think it's crazy that we traded Happ For Saunders.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Would be nice to have happ for the fifth starter right about now. Would be nice to have Stroman in the rotation. Happ was redundant at the time, and we needed a LF. Saunders will be very good. Between Saunders/Pillar/Pompey and Bautista, we have a very good outfield.

Either way I don't hate the trade, but we need pitching.
ScientificReason Verified Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Would be nice to have Stroman as the #1 starter right about now. Obviously, with stroman though this teams pitching is still shaky.
Governator Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 So what you're saying is != = !=? Usually written as != == != but you're forgiven.
polar bear Verified Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Oh! Is that what you think?well I gues you must be right then.
Governator Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 I still think it was crazy trading Happ for Saunders. No Happ for Saunders was a win. Lind for Estrada was a loss which no one seems to talk about.
