Anyone else watch a lot of Angels games? Johny Giavotella is a terrible, terrible baseball player. Guy gives away out after out at 2B. And he can't even hit either.

Baltimore. The Angels have a much better team, and their odds of making the playoffs are much higher. While anything can happen, the O's look like a sub-500 team going forward.

 

Still laughed at the Schoop play though. What a good challenge by the Angels, and what a terrible job by the O's.

 

Not to mention that we play the O's a lot more than we do the Angles. So the O's can beat up on the Angles to help us, and we can return by beating the O's after.

I'd argue LAA should win for maximum benefit, since it gives the Jays distance in both the WC and Division race. Baltimore winning just gives the Jays ground in the WC. If we were in the last week of the season I'd say you want the team occupying the closest playoff spot to lose, but we're still a ways away, IMO.

 

It's probably a small distinction in the scheme of things, but getting as much ground in as many races is probably the better thing to "hope for".

That four game series at Camden at the end of the season terrifies the living f*** out of me. Even if they've fallen into the cellar, if the Jays are in a close race near the finish line and the Orioles can somehow factor into spoiling it, their **** fans will never forget it.

I cannot think of any. The knuckleball is usually adopted by pitchers who suck hard and want to keep playing baseball, so they try it out of desperation.

what in the hell did I just listen to????? he lists dickey and buehrle as reasons he's not scared of the jays. even if he doesn't buy dickey's hot streak, buehrle has been one of the most consistant pitchers ever. then he lists sabbathia as a positive for the yanks. I mean cc has gotten a little unlucky this year but he still pretty bad anyway, definitely not a plus. he might be dumber than the guys at OH. at least they never talked up bud norris this year.

Mujica just blew the game for the A's, serving up a 3-run shot to Colby Rasmus. And as for the people bashing the Danny Valencia DFA, give it a rest already! Don't you remember how much of a butcher he was in LF? And Donaldson is blocking him at 3B as well, along with Smoak/Colabello at 1B, and EE at DH. We had no spot for him for regular playing time.

 

What the Jays need right now is another OF, whether it be Pompey or someone outside the org.
