The number of baseball players who have, or currently use cocaine would probably be shocking to most fans.

TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Blue Jays searching for relief pitching; in contact with Francisco Rodriguez, Rafael Soriano, Burke Badenhop By Justin Millar The above is a really deceptive article. It's written by some dude from Chris Cotillo's blog, and he's essentially reiterating the Morosi report from yesterday, which came out before the Belisario signing. Him writing that they're "continuing" to search for a reliever after signing Belisario is baseless and misleading, given that the Belisario signing happened after that reported was written by Morosi. They very well may be still pursuing another guy, but this article implies that they are, and that hasn't yet been reported by anyone with a source.

I'd be fairly surprised if the Jays consider Belisario the answer to their bullpen needs.

Yes I'm aware Ronald Belisario and Jose Valverde are not hte same person. You seem to be very emotional about middle relievers. I suggest re-evaluating your life.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 We are looking at a middle infield of izturis and Reyes You want ground balls? I don't understand why anyone would assume Izturis is going to be playing a lot. The last time he was serviceable was 2011. An infield of Donaldson, Reyes, Goins and Smoak would be very solid defensively on it's own and that doesn't factor in the utilization of shifts. Whether people like them or not, the "shifts" have produced results and you need groundball pitchers to utilize the shifts properly. It's a minor league deal - it's a good deal. End of story.

The number of athletes in general because your system breaks it down and flushes it out so quickly. Let alone the amount of celebrities, high society, or basically anyone with too much time and money on their hands..

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Gregory Infante arm For those that don't understand Mexican, his first pitch was 99, he was sitting 98-100 according to the commentators, before he threw the breaking ball which completely froze the batter.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 I think the line (pun intended) is better suited as "nobody uses cocaine "just twice", there are a lot of people who try it once just to say they did, not to mention smart people will know how awesome it makes you feel and not to try it again for that reason. Since I have no interest in developing a coke habit, my logic has always been that the worst thing that could happen is that I would really enjoy it so best not to even bother.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Trying coke a few times isn't a big deal, using it habitually is.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Trying coke a few times isn't a big deal, using it habitually is. I'm pretty sure I could try it a few times and not get hooked. I don't think I have a predilection to addiction and from what I understand it's hardly the worst thing you could try from that perspective but ultimately meh. I'm way too old to be trying new drugs.
