I generally avoid them by not reading sportsnet content. That's where hockey fans post about clutch playoff performers and the like.

Really not keen on Sandoval. The bat won't play at 1B going forward, and I don't think he's going to hold up defensively at 3B on a 5-6 year deal.

 

I have those same concerns but the one thing he does have going for him is that he's young for a FA. A 5 year deal only pays him through his age 32 season. I could see him holding up that long.

He's a good defender now with a bad body, don't see why that would change any time soon. Juan Uribe comes to mind as a guy who looks terrible but has been an elite defender for years because of his hands and instincts. A lot of 3B is less range and more quick reactions anyway.
