ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 What I see from Janssen is a lot of pitches up and over the plate. When he's "right", his pitches are knee high and on the corners, give or take an inch in or out of the strike zone.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Issue for me is that you have to recognize he hasn't been pitching well so bringing him into a tied game wasn't something I agreed with. On the other hand, I'm often wrong. The strategy, in theory anyway, makes sense. Bring in your closer in a tied game to give your bats a chance for a walk off win in the bottom of the 9th. Problem is CJ hasn't been close to the same guy he was prior to the ASB. I can see Gibbons wanting to give him more shots at getting back to form but other guys have been better. I think a lot of people (including Gibbons) are hoping he'd come back to form. Not yet anyway.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS nice Cecil
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2014 Author Posted August 24, 2014 Worst frame ever on a critical 3-2 pitch. Lol Navarro.
Molitor Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 What is Colby Rasmus' walk up song? I know it used to be a song called Boys 'Round Here by someone named Blake Shelton. Not sure if that's the same now, I haven't been to a game this year.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Worst frame ever on a critical 3-2 pitch. Lol Navarro. overdoing it a bit
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 One more strike, Cecil and head back to the dugout.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2014 Author Posted August 24, 2014 Can we get a replay on that last check swing Sportsnet? Looked close.

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Hey there is last year's Brett Cecil. Always nice to see you. And hopefully, one of the candidates for closer in 2015, along with other cheap options.
joehammer55 Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Yeah he has a new one now but I can't remember what it's called
Governator Community Moderator Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 send CJ down, recall Delabar!!! Pretty sure they can't from veteran status.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2014 Author Posted August 24, 2014 Damn, they left McGee in.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 send CJ down, recall Delabar!!! Delabar is still having walk issues (more than 1 per inning over his last 9 appearances).
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Worst frame ever on a critical 3-2 pitch. Lol Navarro. bitching on a pitch where the call was strike puts you in the running for worst post ever. Especially when he set up on the outside of the plate and the pitch was all the way on the inside part of the plate
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 What the hell were you swinging at EE? Up at your eyes.
