Delabar has options remaining so he doesn't have to make the team.

Cecil, Sanchez, and Loup can be the top 3. Redmond the long man. Then just pick the three best out of the group of 100 (or so) options AA was able to sign to minor league deals or acquire via waivers. Rooting for Matt West and Preston Guilmet, personally, but I think Lopez (if everything is right with him like velocity) could be the best option the currently have from the right side based on his track record.

Lol so your okay with 3 bullpen spots being up for grabs to AAAA players and rookies. Plus in the four your counted one has only pitched 30lp in mlb. If cecil gets hurt and sanchez bombs I hope you understand Redmond could be closing on nights loup isn't available

Goddammit. "If x player is hurt" is the laziest f***ing argument. Every team has guys that would be super costly if they went down due to injury. As has no doubt been explained to you ad nauseam, bullpens are ridiculously volatile, and because of that they're a poor place to invest big dollars. We have a metric shittonne of relief depth and most of it (as are most relief pitchers as a whole) is a crapshoot, and always will be a crapshoot.

For the people going on about Delabar sometime back in November he talked about how he did not correctly do the weighted ball program last off-season and that led to mechanical issues which lead to injury. He's supposed to be back on the program as it was designed this year so he could definitely be a wild card as a reliever again this year. I'm not holding my breath as it's amazing he ever made the MLB but I won't rule him out either.

Watching him pitch last year, my immediate thoughts were something is wrong physically. He says he feels like he did going into the 2013 season & he fully completed his usual weighted ball program. We'll see of course, but I'm expecting Delabar to make the team out of spring training & have a decent year.

If those bullpen arms are essentially interchangeable than it doesn't really matter if one of them goes down.

Last year it would have been "Do you know if Santos, Delabar, Janssen all get hurt or fail it would be Cecil closing?" Relievers progress and fall apart every year. Get over it, the pen is on the cheap...but it's also the cheapest piece to pick up on the season. There will be about 50 relievers cut by March 15th. And yes before you post again, I am okay with others throw aways in my pen.

orioles won this division last year. compare their bullpen with ours.

i guess the one of the most positives out of this offseason is that when AA is finally fired due to his inability to create a deep team, DD will come in here and bring his winning Oriole Philosophy

Could Tanner Roark be had from the Nationals? If so what might the jays offer? What would you offer?

Would Cecil, osauna and navarro be a good starting offer?

Ban this guy!!

No thanks.

Would you do Cecil + a lesser prospect? I actually don't hate that framework. Navarro is a pure dump, and Roark would be great rotation depth. Cheaper than Cecil, and under control 4-5 years longer.

You are to pm the mods silly Mexican, report yourself for banning! Lol

...and now you're funny, perra!!

Roark is decent, no great.

Looks like Dirks isn't even going to major-league camp.

DIRKS DELAYED: Andy Dirks, who signed a minor-league contract with the Blue Jays in January, will report to minor-league camp instead of big-league spring training to continue rehabbing his back.

The outfielder missed all of last season with back and hamstring injuries.

I'll be surprised if he contributes much of anything with that back. Even if he gets back on the field, it's hard to see him capably defending.

Nice spare part maybe, if he can get heathy and injuries happen?

Personally, I don't see it, I've had the same surgery, he's had it twice. Mind you, he has excellent professionals working on him, same goes for Victorino/Fielder, Headley, etc, etc...it's unfortunate.

I think he ate Donaldson.

Good one. You're damn funny :)
