gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Navarro drove that first pitch into the ground when it was an actual strike.
North of 60 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 This is what happens when scouting reports come out and teams figure out to hit these young kids. Hutchison first, now Stroman.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 The weird thing will be the Jays will sweep the Os but won't be able to put away a struggling team.
wardhenke1 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 We're about to cough up 3/4 to the f***ing Astros. Wonder what the mood in the dressing room will be like after this game?
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Well, last 3 games showed us we needed another starter, without a doubt.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 I was really hoping we would sweep the Astros. Expected 3/4. This is just terrible. Lots of ball to play though.

Nearly four games - that first one could have gone either way too. A poorly executed series all around, even if they somehow take this one.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Move Colby to left field, and he will become a monster hitter!

CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Doubt we would sweep the O's. Our rotation is very shaky and our top pitcher is a f***ing kid with almost no experience in the Bigs.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 All of our luck is over. We need Edwin and Lawrie back. Lawrie is progressing http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20140803&content_id=87747774¬ebook_id=87773296&vkey=notebook_tor&c_id=tor

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Stroman had nothing today. Team is playing like they are still pissed about the trade deadline. This might be the season today. A psychic and a fortune teller.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Astros looking like a better team They gave the A's a run for their money last series.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 I said I was worried about this series on Thursday, and I was laughed at... Jays ALWAYS play down to their competition. Their World Series was beating the Yankees and Red Sox in their parks. They're content.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 I agree Baltimore is so much better than the Jays and they have a better coach Yup. Gibbons takes some very weird decisions at times (like the other day when he brought Loup to face 2 righties) Plus he rarely calls the hit and run and he's not a very good coach overall.

JFD Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 can't beat the twins or Asstros. what a bunch of losers.
DH12 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 My guess is by Aug 11 the Jays will be out of the division lead race and likely the wild card also

comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Edwin Encarnacion's setback could lead to rehab stint by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com Blue Jays outfielder Edwin Encarnacion was hoping to return from a quad injury without a rehab assignment, but that is seeming more unlikely after he suffered setback Saturday. Encarnacion will be shut down for the next few days after he felt a tweak in the quad while swinging Friday. According to MLB.com, this minor setback could be enough to push him to a rehab assignment, since he has not played since July 5. Encarnacion was expected to return during the team's current road trip, but might have to wait until the team returns home Aug. 5 after this.
