Jays: Stroman is 6-2 with a 2.12 ERA in 11 starts. He didn't allow a run in three of his five outings in July, and the only one he's surrendered over 21 innings in his last three came in a 4-2 victory at Boston on Tuesday. The Blue Jays averaged 6.2 runs and 10.9 runs while winning 11 of 13 prior to the last two contests. They had won every series they'd played since the All-Star break. Navarro is batting .352 with 13 RBIs over his last 18 games and .342 in 11 career contests at Minute Maid Park. Astros: Scott Feldman went 0-3 with a 5.58 ERA in five July starts but is coming off his best performance since April. He allowed a run and five hits over seven innings against Oakland on Tuesday and left with a three-run lead, but Houston gave up six in the ninth to lose 7-4. The right-hander had been 0-3 with a 6.11 ERA against the Blue Jays in 12 games, including seven starts, before winning his last matchup with them. He gave up three runs in 7 1-3 innings of a 7-4 win last season while with Baltimore. Houston, which is closing a 10-game homestand, has averaged 5.8 runs while going 4-2 against Oakland and Toronto this week following a five-game skid. Castro is batting .333 in his last nine games, including three homers and seven RBIs in the past seven. Jose Altuve has hit safely in 14 of his last 16 games. He's vying to become the first player in franchise history to win a batting title. havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Waiting for the havok report. Dunno if I should start fatcow in fantasy today. rotoworld posted this earlier: Blue Jays beat reporter Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports that Sm1te will make an emergency start in place of fatcow on Sunday afternoon. Advice: "With fatcow hitting a rough patch recently, this appears to be just a day of rest for the Blue Jays' top posting starter. Sm1te's minor league track record doesn't suggest that he will find much success at the major league level, so he can be safely avoided in all fantasy leagues" -rotoworld

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Pretty dick move to call him out.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 cant block home and yet it's ok to do that at second. bizarre standard for rules in baseball.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Well, this is off to a great start. Reyes finally does something right and that happens. *Sigh*
sdyment Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Bad head first slide. His collar bone hit shin of fielder... Called out too :/
DH12 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Reyes on the 15 day DL now. Fragile, old and overpaid.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 cant block home and yet it's ok to do that at second. bizarre standard for rules in baseball. Can't have star catchers getting hurt but smash a guy's clavicle at 2nd perfectly fine. Then call him out after he comes off in pain.
North of 60 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Nightmare series. This looks to be the nail in the coffin for the Jays.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Maybe someone will claim Reyes on waivers. haha sorry had to make a bad joke.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Altuve needs a fastball in his back....total ******** blocking the base without the ball
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 I don't understand why he starts his slide so late. He hurt himself the same way last year, but it was feet first.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 rotoworld posted this earlier: What does rotoworld say abou Sm1te's late scratch and release from the org? Maybe the team is trusting veteran presence fatcow to rebound from a tough day yesterday to get the team back on track. With plenty of depth in youngsters GD, King and OF, the team has adequate replacements. One must wonder if fatcow is hiding an injury.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Thumbs up, he seems OK. It looks like they were busting his chops so might just be a jam and we'll see how he does defensively. Maybe dodged a bullet injury wise
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 lol did Sm1te get banned? All his posts are gone?
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Altuve needs a fastball in his back....total ******** blocking the base without the ball He wasn't blocking the bag, come on. If Reyes slid earlier or feet first,he would be safe and ok.
