That's true but I'm sure this team would've came out fired up and electrified after a deadline move, but again it's just speculation. All I know is this sucks, gonna have to dig deep against Balty or it could be a quick sweep bumping us out of the Wildcard.

This team won 11/13 or something like that before this series while missing a top 10 hitter in baseball, a very good defensive 3B, and a very good platoon option at DH. I mean sure this team has flaws, but to act like this team has thrown in the towel on their season because they lost a series to the Astros is misguided. I guess the players on the best team in baseball just don't care anymore either for losing a series to the Astros.

The Astros are an incomplete team with good pieces and the team shows flashes of quality. Just like the current Blue Bisons lineup.

I sure did,as well as seattle winning,since their starter pitches lights out on the road,and hadn,t lost a road start in over a year.

Agreed. They've been running out a lot of AAAA players since mid-June (way too f***ing long, IMO). They've had some success, as all teams do, but we need the actual Blue Jays to be the guys on the field. The only positive of a 6-4 roadtrip in which 3 losses came to the Astros is that the Jays beat teams breathing down their neck (Boston was catching up, don't forget, and it was the Jays handing them 6 losses in 10 days that put them away.)

 

Also, the AAAstros nearly swept the A's last series - so they're in their own zone right now. I was actually a bit tentative coming into this series having watched a couple of those A's-Astros games. Turns out even the worst teams win about 60 games a year, who knew?

There are rumblings within the Blue Jays organization that fatcow may be on the way out soon.

In any event, it seems as if fatcow has lost the trust of both management and the coaching staff and that may soon signal a change in the rotation. Ok jays disappointed when we were sure they would easily win this series. Now going into baltimore series consensus may be that they will be lucky to get a split so they will likely surprise and win that series.

Of course they had CONSIDERED acquiring lots of other guys, quality posters from other boards, but blah blah blah payroll limits and blah blah blah balls in the air and blah blah liked the poster but blah blah blah not the price so went with internal options
