intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 That's true but I'm sure this team would've came out fired up and electrified after a deadline move, but again it's just speculation. All I know is this sucks, gonna have to dig deep against Balty or it could be a quick sweep bumping us out of the Wildcard. They dug pretty deep to get where they are now with a depleted roster. Here's hoping the off day preps them for the O's. There's an off day, right...?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 I know this is still a winnable game...but I'd love to hear the logic behind bringing Sanchez in.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Cant believe this performance. Only explanation is they are feeling bad for themselves. Where is the intensity? I credit the Astros starting to show signs of figuring things out. They've had stretches of success this season, and could improve once Fowler and Springer return.

havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 This team won 11/13 or something like that before this series while missing a top 10 hitter in baseball, a very good defensive 3B, and a very good platoon option at DH. I mean sure this team has flaws, but to act like this team has thrown in the towel on their season because they lost a series to the Astros is misguided. I guess the players on the best team in baseball just don't care anymore either for losing a series to the Astros.

DH12 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Monday is day off. Baltimore goes to Washington. Don't worry about what Baltimore has to do. They have a superior coach who gets them mentally prepared for each game
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Just heard Astros have great record against Cy Young winners. The Astros are an incomplete team with good pieces and the team shows flashes of quality. Just like the current Blue Bisons lineup.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Fatcow to the DL is looking like a real possibility. Any word on replacements?
comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 This is one dead looking team Its the Rasmus effect....lol.
DH12 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 i think most jays fans thought with Stroman starting it was almost an automatic win today. When you think like that with the Jays expect a loss. THey seem to play opposite what is supposed to happen

THey seem to play opposite what is supposed to happen I sure did,as well as seattle winning, since their starter pitches lights out on the road, and hadn,t lost a road start in over a year. Day off will help.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 The team must be getting tired, and of how much longer than expected the injured guys were supposed to come back.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 The team must be getting tired, and of how much longer than expected the injured guys were supposed to come back. Agreed. They've been running out a lot of AAAA players since mid-June (way too f***ing long, IMO). They've had some success, as all teams do, but we need the actual Blue Jays to be the guys on the field. The only positive of a 6-4 roadtrip in which 3 losses came to the Astros is that the Jays beat teams breathing down their neck (Boston was catching up, don't forget, and it was the Jays handing them 6 losses in 10 days that put them away.) Also, the AAAstros nearly swept the A's last series - so they're in their own zone right now. I was actually a bit tentative coming into this series having watched a couple of those A's-Astros games. Turns out even the worst teams win about 60 games a year, who knew?
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Any word on replacements? There are rumblings within the Blue Jays organization that fatcow may be on the way out soon. Advice: "Given his season long struggles it isn't a total surprise that the Jays may look to find a suitor for fatcow. However, his hefty contract might make a few contenders shy away. In any event, it seems as if fatcow has lost the trust of both management and the coaching staff and that may soon signal a change in the rotation. Owners in AL only leagues will want to make a speculative add on both Orgfiller and King, while owners in mixed fantasy leagues will want to keep tabs on this developing situation." - rotoworld They don't know for sure, but they keep mentioning both King and Orgfiller as the two most likely full time replacements for fatcow.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Rush Lawrie back or we can kiss the playoffs goodbye....offense has s*** the bed once again....4 runs in 3 games straight against the astros...pathetic
wardhenke1 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 The look on Feldman's face: "I can't believe it's been this f***ing easy."
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 If you guys think the season is over that's fine, you just don't need to keep posting it every 5 minutes.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Blue Jays making a statement... "f*** you AA"
DH12 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Ok jays disappointed when we were sure they would easily win this series. Now going into baltimore series consensus may be that they will be lucky to get a split so they will likely surprise and win that series.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 If you guys think the season is over that's fine, you just don't need to keep posting it every 5 minutes. It would be great if these guys actually meant it since it would mean they'd stop following the team till next season, but we know it's just whining. I'll take a 6-4 road trip and move forward. The team obviously needs its starting players back, but they've actually done well without 3 of their top 6 hitters.

In true Jays fashion maybe the answer is a non-move. If not two replacement level posters are good choices.

Of course they had CONSIDERED acquiring lots of other guys, quality posters from other boards, but blah blah blah payroll limits and blah blah blah balls in the air and blah blah liked the poster but blah blah blah not the price so went with internal options
