CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Bautista decreased our momentum meter with his crying about the deadline. No. The rotation is shaky and the offense blows without EE and Lawrie. Cut the guy some slack ffs.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Now that`s some positive thinking! that would make up for every bad thing that has happened to us in the season so far. I'm trying to be positive for once and it seems to be something the Jays would do. Don't beat up on the teams you should but find a way to beat the top dogs.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 My guess is by Aug 11 the Jays will be out of the division lead race and likely the wild card also lol okay.
ParkdaleTdot Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 reyes has no bat strength anymore. Even when he smokes it, it barely gets out of the infield.
DH12 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 And to everyone thinking that the lind lawrie and EE return will save them. Does anyone think when they come back they will automatically start hitting over .300? Not likely. It will take them weeks to get back to form and it will likely be too late by then
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 We just lost 3 of 4 were about to play a bunch of good teams. Now they gotta either come to play or crumble like they did earlier in the season. We need a good run right now. Time to show up I agree, but your post was still projecting and cartoonishly pessimistic.
DH12 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Reyes looks weak and fragile. Not the kind of guy you should be paying 22 million a season to

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 This team is hilariously streaky. They'll probably score like 10 runs a game vs the Os next week. Makes no sense.

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Are lawrie or edwin likely to hit .300 ever in a million years? No, but they don't need to suddenly hit .300. Why does anyone think this? The team just needs major league hitters in its lineup.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Well....this is clearly Fatcow's fault. Mods really dropped the ball by deleting the other GDT

GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 havok, what's the report on fatcow? Clearly slumping and probably injured. Maybe a 15-day DL stint is necessary.
jays76 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Yup limping into the Baltimore series after losing 3 straight to the Astros will suck.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Stroman didn't have his good stuff. Team hasn't played with much enery or ergency. Team was pissed about lack of moves at deadline. Everything I said was true. Several guys spoke out. Yes. A fact. The team playing like they are too frustrated? Speculation. They suck right now in the same way the sucked in that White Sox series. Sucking is sucking and you're just projecting. Also the season isn't over. How any Jays fan can say that with a straight face is ridiculous. Look at what's already happened so far this year.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. I say Booobz makes the next GDT. He did some classic ones on the old board.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 oh no we're on the comedy network again
ParkdaleTdot Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Does that still count as an earned run? because it should.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 This game f***ing sucks.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Yes she married me! Now I can stay in this beauitful country! God Bless America. Usually it's the other way around lol. Guys here will marry hot foreign chicks, and they end up with the Canadian or US citizenship.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 havok, what's the report on fatcow? Clearly slumping and probably injured. Maybe a 15-day DL stint is necessary. fatcow lasted only 3 innings as he was shelled by the Houston Astros on Sunday afternoon. Advice: Yikes. In what started out as just a "slump" has turned into an absolute nightmare for fatcow and the Blue Jays. After this dreadful outing, fatcow's jPAR is currently sitting at just a shade above replacement level. It is quite possible that the Blue Jays may elect to put fatcow on the 15 day DL for further evaluations. While we enjoyed the thrilling ride of fatcow being among the top 10 fantasy starting posters over the last two years, it appears that train has come to a full stop. We wouldn't recommend dropping him right now, but from this point forward he is a shaky starting option in all mixed fantasy leagues." - rotoworld Fatcow to the DL is looking like a real possibility.

That's true but I'm sure this team would've came out fired up and electrified after a deadline move, but again it's just speculation. All I know is this sucks, gonna have to dig deep against Balty or it could be a quick sweep bumping us out of the Wildcard.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Yup limping into the Baltimore series after losing 3 straight to the Astros will suck. Cant believe this performance. Only explanation is they are feeling bad for themselves. Where is the intensity?
DH12 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Ok why would they waste Sanchez here if he's on an inning cap? Has Gibbons lost his mind?
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 God the Mariners are pathetic.. how do you get shut out vs. the O's? Someone in that org. needs to get fired.. their offense continues to ruin their good pitching.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Ok why would they waste Sanchez here if he's on an inning cap? Has Gibbons lost his mind? Yeah. I don't understand this either.
