o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Can't have star catchers getting hurt but smash a guy's clavicle at 2nd perfectly fine. Then call him out after he comes off in pain. have to call time before you come off the bag. dem rulz
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 lol did Sm1te get banned? All his posts are gone? I thought I saw a few from him not too long ago. Maybe s/he deleted the account?
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 I'm really glad Reyes is okay....but ive never seen a professional cry on the field after what looked like an injury and come back out smiling the next inning 5 mins later.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Thank god Reyes is alright. How the shortstop allowed to block the base like that?
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 I'm really glad Reyes is okay....but ive never seen a professional cry on the field after what looked like an injury and come back out smiling the next inning 5 mins later. He has been in pain for like 3 months. It's understandable
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 have to call time before you come off the bag. dem rulz True. It's one thing I'm not a fan of in baseball. A guy gets hurt, think Jeter years ago with Huckaby, and some guys where they hit the back, the ankle blows out and they're writhing in pain and you have to tag them out. When I was playing when I was about 15-16 there was a guy who blew out his ACL rounding second and in a lot of pain. No one wanted to tag him out. But rulez iz rules *In the voice of Bruce from Family Guy*
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Good play by Reyes there.. Looks like he's ok.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Reyes looks fine with that throw. Little off balance but seems like he avoided an injury.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 He wasn't blocking the bag, come on. If Reyes slid earlier or feet first,he would be safe and ok. Wtf were u watching....he has his whole right leg in front of tbe bag and reyes shoulder hit his shin before he had the ball....blocking the base from a slide
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 He has been in pain for like 3 months. It's understandable Meh. As long as he's playing...he can cry all he wants i guess.
Molitor Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Playing sports as a kid, there was always that teammate who would routinely get injured. He'd flop around, grimace in pain, maybe his dad would come out, then he'd be fine 5 minutes later. Reyes is THAT guy.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Really looking forward to watching Stroman today
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Nasty pitch by Stro. If he keeps using that pitch he's damn near impossible to hit.
bluebird Verified Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 stroman is a beast ,thank god he was never traded
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Good start for Stroman. Still miffed on the Reyes call there.. although it's Reyes own fault.. should've called time.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 As much as myself and others rag on Reyes I hope he is playing instead of Kawasaki or goins
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 What does rotoworld say abou Sm1te's late scratch and release from the org? Maybe the team is trusting veteran presence fatcow to rebound from a tough day yesterday to get the team back on track. With plenty of depth in youngsters GD, King and OF, the team has adequate replacements. One must wonder if fatcow is hiding an injury. Blue Jays designated Sm1te for assignment Advice: "Earlier we reported that Sm1te was going to be making an emergency start in place of fatcow, but that doesn't appear to be the case as fatcow was seen making the start today. We later found out that the Blue Jays designated Sm1te for assignment which does not come as a surprise considering the Blue Jays are in a serious pennant race, and can't afford to be starting fringe major league talent in place of their top talent. It is possible fatcow could be hiding an injury, but at this point the Blue Jays are desperate for wins to pull themselves away from the pack in the wild card chase. Monitor this situation closely and proceed with caution." -rotoworld Poor guy never stood a chance. I agree with the decision though, we need wins!
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Boy, Feldman's pitches are sure going to keep people warm with all the firewood from the broken bats.. and the Jays have back-to-back hits! Now how about one more hit?
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Feldman just sawing them off with his raw power.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Oh god, there's going to be a second inning bunt here..
